No, Cummins transplant. Any Ford truck '86 and earlier. Bump side probably my favorite. Easy swap from 2nd gen Dodge 12or 24 valve and driver's side drop transfer case lines up with Ford axles. 7.3 needs too much work.

Thanks for the quick replies Welder and Big. I believe you're right. Last time I bought brass fittings at Home Depot I couldn't believe the prices. Paul

With your car, one will be 3/8 NPT and the other will be 1/2 NPT. The 3/8 NPT fitting is for the 1/2" hose and the 1/2 NPT is for the 5/8" hose. The outside diameter of the pipe above the threads will be ~.675" for the 3/8 NPT and ~.840" for the 1/2 NPT if you'd like to double check...

    69 Chrysler brake booster question

We got the new master cylinder in, bled the brakes, now that pedal is rock hard. We also had to swap out the starter. This car runs and drives now, still needs to be tuned and some other things fixed, but boy is it fun. We parked it next to my neighbors ‘78 Concord, it looks puny compared to the...

What is the best spark plug for carbon fouling?

Hey man, you're great. I really appreciate everyone replying. 90% of my travels are short under 20 mile round trips, almost none highway, so that probably has something to do with it, but wouldn't all cylinders look like this? The other cylinders look cleaner, not great, but for a 50yr old...

Elite was born as the " Gran Torino" Elite in 1974. In 1975 and 1976, it was just the "Elite". the Cougar got the same platform treatment (it got BIGGER) though it existed as a stand alone brand for several years by then. Ford musta thought blingin' up the "Torino" to appear in the midsize...

BEST OCTANE BOOSTER? HOME MADE EVEN?

Thanks for the info. I went down a rabbit hole one day and didn't know all the crap we're breathing and eating. Worse than humans before 1945. More lead, radiation, electromagnetic energy, chemicals, huge increase in sugars/fake sugars such as corn syrup, all bad and no one really knows the...

Weren’t the Elites a fancy LTD II or the successor to the Gran Torino? I also believe that they were Cougars in the Mercury line, no?

On the water pump housing (440 (7.2 L) engine) there's two fittings (like nipples) that screw into the housing and provide for the heater hoses to attach to the housing. Does anyone know the tread size of these fittings? Cause I'm thinking of going to Home Depot and looking for some brass...
