This rebuild makes me wish I were close enough to come over and hand you tools and keep the shop cleaned up for you.

    What is your daily driver?

Here's the $100 one with new set of $135 shoes. Complete with original factory time delayed custom fade clear coat patina. But the inside is very good. Go figure.

    What is your daily driver?

Lately I've been running a 1997 Geo Metro 4 cylinder, auto, a/c, p/b and stereo around town. No p/s, don't need it. For those of you who don't remember it, it's your basic enclosed golf cart with a/c and air bags. But the 35-mpg on 87 regular is nice. Very simple car. Easy to diagnose and work...

That is a very unusual connection there.

    Power steering Box.

Can you clean it up and identify the leak(s) before you pull it out? I haven't had one yet that I couldn't reseal. The FSM provides detailed procedures and tool part numbers for removing the seals. None of the sealing procedures involve messing with the critical fine internal adjustments. A...

    Lower ball joints

I wouldn't buy them without consulting with them first. If they're absolute about standing behind them then that would be encouraging. I'm renovating and driving a dozen old cars and completely understand not using premium top dollar parts all the time. I do occasionally, but rarely, get a new...

    Engine rebuild

All the 5.2 Magnum's that I've had from years 91 to 97 turned on at 3,100 rpm. I don't know if it's the cam or the tuning. 3.91 and 3.55 gears work well in the Dakotas with 235/75-15 tire. The Dakotas weigh 4200 full of gas with two people. The 3.55 with 235/75-15 tire isn't enough gear in the...

I like the after option. Because, what if the before don't fit?

What are you working on today??

2004 Beetle fuel pump. Clean car, promises to be a pain in the butt to keep in service.

No reason to use the right stuff when you got all the wrong stuff right there.

What are you working on today??

95 Deville front brakes. Can't wait to get rid of this Crapillac. More room for another Mopar, something that stays fixed when its fixed. So, today I worked on garage space for the future Chrysler.

    suspension

The Mopar big block drive train is the last thing I would turn my back on in these big cars. The first thing I go after on a healthy stock one is getting the steering box sorted out. And then some really nice brakes are a good thing. If you don't get the steering box right, it will be a...

    I suggest you consider a 440 first.

1967 Plymouth III tire pressure ??

I run a lot of Hankook and Nexen 14- and 15-inch 75 series tires on 3,200-to-4,800-pound vehicles. 30 to 32 pounds unloaded has been the best pressure for me. Several hundred thousands of miles over many years.

    vapor lock

Yes, the vapor return filter using the vent return line has always solved my vapor lock problems on Mopar's. Never needed anything other than the stock pump. I use vented tank filler caps so the tank doesn't get sucked into a collapsed mess.

    68 Polara Seat comfort Problems

I move them back and raise the front. That lowers my butt and lifts the front, improving leg support.
