    66 Sport Fury-From The Beginning

So, apparently your Fury has had an affect on others. A local Mopar guy here in Berryville, saw your Fury all painted and looking spectacular at the body shop. He already had a buyer who wanted his 66 convertible that he has had for decades. But when he saw yours, he decided to keep his...

Oh sure. Blame me. Still, the color you chose looks amazing on that car. I may have failed to mention that the other car the same body guy painted for me was a turquoise convertible. Does this mean you'll be taking your convertible back and choosing a different color? LOL

Very cool! It looks great. I have pictured of my 67 wagon in the exact same parking spot when it was freshly painted. Your car is already farther along than my wagon. I still have a couple other projects to finish before starting the assembly on my wagon.

Yes, that was us. That day we drove over to White Post Restorations to inquire about rebuilding the original power brake booster for my 68 Charger. They were rather expensive and the turnaround time was a bit long, so we didn't leave it with them. Looks like it will be cheaper and quicker to buy...

White interior would look nice with that color, but the 66 Sport Fury interior color choices didn't include white. Interiors were available in red, blue, black, tan, and citron (kind of a greenish gold). Of those choices, black is the only color that would work. As long as you flip the bucket...

Looks good. Sounds like you almost had the windshield installed today as well, but that the gasket was wrong. The glass installer that went to install your windshield came from there to install the windshield on my 68 Charger. My windshield is finally in.

I think brackets are different from side to side, but that the mounts are the same. Just put new mounts on the 440 on my 68 Charger a few weeks ago.

Looks great. But, should those quarters behind the wheel wells tuck in a bit farther? Just wondering if the fender skirts will fit right if the contour is a little off. Here's a couple pictures of mine from about the same angle.

    66 Sport Fury-From The Beginning

Yeah, I saw it this morning when I picked up my wagon. No real surprise with the mud in the quarters. But, to me the important part is that the top of the wheel arches look solid. That indicates the inner wheel house should be solid. If the top of the wheel arches have to be made, it often ruins...

Uh oh! That means they need parts from the parts car to finish it.

Looks good. I might see it myself on Monday. My wagon has to go back for one rust spot under the hood that everyone missed seeing before.

Sorry to hear you struck out at Leon's. I know there was a brush fire several years ago that took out alot of cars in one of the Mopar sections along the back of the 100 acre salvage yard. Let me know if you're planning a trip to Fredricksburg Auto Salvage. I need to make a trip down there.

Wish I knew before now that you were going to Leon's. I would go with you. Need a good hood for a 70-72 Dart, and maybe luggage rack parts for a 67-70 B body wagon. I think you need to get there very early and you'll be locked in during lunch. If you don't find what you need at Leon's...

Who in PA are you taking the pieces to for chroming? How far. I think I need to go ahead and do the same with the 4 end pieces for my wagon's roof rack.

Great color choice! I think the 66 color you've chosen will look more like this.

'66 Imperial Convertible Rebuild: A Fresh Start

Thanks. I didn't know that. I thought they were cancelled on the Imperial just like they were on the 66 New Yorker.
