'71 Monaco 4 door barn find

I was wrong, it was Rob Schneider originally, later rehashed by Sandler in "Hot chicks". After twenty years my mind is a little hazy. Still funny!

I was born in 80 so I'm going to say no.

'71 Monaco 4 door barn find

Those are 35mm film containers, used to hold film, nothing else! A certain recurring Adam Sandler SNL skit comes to mind. Does anyone know if that fader is factory? I remember the reverbs offered with the slabs but I've never seen, or heard of this option on fuselages.

    69 Chrysler brake booster question

I don't know about the newer parts swap compatibility, could possibly work? That is the small diameter, dual diaphragm booster that came with the car originally, quite sought after for its size and performance. I would have it rebuilt and reinstall. That's not exactly cheap, but it will save you...

    1970 Plymouth Fury Dash Pad

Looking at your interior, that appears to be the only faux wood panel. I think it would look best without it, but that's just my opinion. Do you know how it's held on? If it's just two way tape it could be added anytime. I have a feeling there maybe a couple of holes for studs. My '71 Monaco...

convertible fuselage header and dutchman panel removal

Interesting, thanks for that photo. Many years ago a member of this site posted a similar shot, but of a C body and I seem to recall the channel being L shaped, I could be wrong. The C body channel is twice the thickness of the A body one, that much I'm sure of. And I agree with Samplingman...

convertible fuselage header and dutchman panel removal

Convertibles have a heavy 3/8" or 1/2" thick steel L channel inside of the sheet metal rocker running the full length. It's there to strengthen the body being a unibody convertible. There's alot of structural integrity in a steel roof.

Reinforced rockers are probably worth saving too.

The trim from the doors that wraps around the back, against the Dutchman panel should be saved too. It appears to never have had buttons screwed into it, which many do.

    Dragging brakes

How did the fluid look when you changed the master? Sounds like your caliper isn't fully retracting.

He didn't mention if he has the trim? Also curious as to what car the new in box floor pans would fit.

    Cassette player restoration

If I am reading this correctly you're the original owner of your 1971 New Yorker? That's impressive! Did the replacement belts get your cassette player working properly? Do you have any pictures of the car?

Best seal for Front Windshield ?

New reproduction windshields don't have the exact curvature that the originals had. Urethane is the best way to go. You can easily find used windshield stainless trim, and new clips. How's the bottom channel? There's usually a hole or two down there.

1971 New Yorker. Do any of you know or recognize this 1971 NewYorker from Kitchener Ontario.

Wow! I wonder what the mileage is? That paisley interior is flawless! Standard steering wheel and no A/C is sort of odd for a New Yorker. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

    Extra condenser on the coil?

If you're actually listening to your stock AM radio, you'll want to keep that in place. If you can hear a whine through the speaker that increases with engine revolutions, it should be replaced.

    Extra condenser on the coil?

As mentioned, it's for the radio. It serves no other purpose. Looks like there's some corrosion on those nuts, I'd clean them up and check other connections and battery terminals, bulkhead connector...
