Question about c body kickdown linkage.

Does anyone know if the kickdown linkage, and I'm talking about the whole thing, carb to bellcrank, bellcrank to trans, are the same on a 440 66 c body and a 68 440 c body, or are there differences? If different can you expound a little or add a pic? Also, are the linkage set ups for 68 B bodies...

    Ok, now its not working.

So I had my A/C fixed a while back, or so I thought. I replaced the comp, the dryer and expansion valve, and swapped the seals out for the R134a. I only drove it down the street taking the guys word that it was good, and I parked it. So the other day I go to take a short drive and its got...

How many members here in the St. Louis region?

I'm looking to find out how many members here in, say, 75 miles in any direction of St. Louis, MO. Need to make some new contacts not that I've moved away from the drag racing thing and more toward the "cruisin" thing. LOL. Help me out, where ya at? PM if you'd rather. Thanks. Ken. Heck, make it...

BB car vs SB car, rear brake size difference?

Does anyone know if a BB powered 66 Fury would've had bigger drums out back that a SB powered car? I'm prolly gonna convert my 66 to 73 disc up front but don't want it to be lopsided in braking. I really need to find a source (book) that outlines this stuff.

Need pics of factory wheel and wheel covers for 68 300's.

I've searched but cant come up with anything that shows me what wheels and wheel cover options there were for 68 300's. Can anyone help with that? Thanks. Ken.

    If you have a 440 powered 66 Fury I have a request.

If you read my post in the "engines" forum you'll know better what I'm doing here, but I would like to be educated as much as possible in the differences from the factory in the area of brakes, suspension etc between a 318 equipped car and a 440 car. Anything you can help with (especially with...

Does anyone here have a 440 powered 66 Fury?

I've pretty much decided to keep my 66 Fury III that was my dad's and do the 440 swap that he was collecting parts to do. What I'm asking from you guys (and gals) is to help me with info on the differences underhood in my 318 poly car and a factory 440 Fury. If you have a 66 Fury with a 440 and...

Couple a questions about the front sub-frame assembly.

Without crawling under my cars, I was wondering if the trans cross member and the torsion bars are integral with the sub frame. I'm considering dropping the sub frame out for cleaning and painting when I do the disc brake swap, but as all my experiences have been with A bodies over the years I...

Anyone have an after market underdash A/C unit in a 65 or 66 Fury?

Thinkin about going this route but I really need to see pix of the under dash part, wanna see how low it sets from the bottom of dash, and any info you have on it as far as installation etc. Thanks. Ken.

Anyone know if there are any magazines out there that...

...feature the Plymouth, Chrysler and Dodge C bodies, either exclusively or even just a sprinkling? I'd really like to see pix and read about C body survivors and restos. Even online mags would do. Anything? thanks. Ken.

When did Chrysler stop using the Certicards?

Was wondering if my 68 300 would have had one and where it would've been mounted? On my 66 Fury its on the rad support near the batt. Thanks for any info about this. Ken.

Looking for either 14" or 15" chrome Magnum 500's.

Would prefer 15's, but I'd consider 14's, must fit C body and be in really good condition. PM me or respond here. Thanks. Ken.

    Question about front brake hoses.

Still gearing up and picking up parts for the disc brake swap on one of my C's, but was wondering, when swapping out the drums for the 73 discs, which hoses will I need? Will the 73 disc hoses connect to the 66 or 68 drum hard lines? Thanks. Ken.

Anyone here ever tried dying their carpet?

Anyone here know of a good carpet dye for the mid to late 60's era style of carpet, preferably in an easy to use aerosol can? I've never tried this, what are your experiences with doing this? Can you recommend one for me? Hopefully something that isn't going to leave a long lasting odor. Thanks...

I am torn here, a VERY tough decision to make about my 2 C bodies.

I have come to the conclusion that its just not practical to keep both of my C bodies, my 68 300 and my dad's 66 Fury III. This decision may sound like small potatoes and insignificant in the grand scheme of things (life) but it is a very sentimental thing for me. The Fury was my Dad's pride and...

Since the 73 disc brake swap seems to be the most popular swap, can those....

....who've done it comment on your personal before and after experiences with the swap, was it a BIG man I'm glad I did it change in braking or just so so or...? Some discussion would be nice. Thanks.

Up in the "c body models" , has anyone ever noticed that...

there is no place for 68 model year c bodys. it lists them chronologically but it starts off with...early c bodies PRE-68, followed by fuselage years 69-74 and so on. "technically speaking, it gives no place for anything in 68. Just sayin.

Life can definately be filled with unexpected TWISTS and turns.

Well lately you may have seen my posts about my next project on my 68 300, putting on disc brakes, but after all the planning and parts gathering and prep, instead of doing a disc brake job all i was successful at was breaking a disc.....in my back. As im typing this im flat on my back in...

Who do you guys like for repro C body brake lines?

I'm looking for the lines from the MC to the prop valve. I've copied many diff lines in the past to look like originals, but time constraints have me looking for ready made aftermarket copies, so, what are our choices...or are there any? Thanks. Ken.
