    Front marker light grounding issue

I’ve repainted my car back into its factory colour after stripping the previous paint jobs off. I reinstalled all of the lights, etc and both front side marker lights (amber) in each fender aren’t staying on with the lights on. If I reach into the back of them and wiggle each one they will go...

    1957 Windsor questions

I’m very curious to confirm the factory paint colours. According to the firewall tag it’s 2711, and I know that means 27 is the roof and side trim colour, and 11 is the body but I’m having a hard time finding what colours those codes were in 57. Can anyone set me straight on what colours 27 and...

    1957 Windsor questions

The Windsor was delivered today and it is going to be a very good car when I’ve restored it. Needs rockers and front floor pans, but other than that it’s a very solid car. I’m missing a few parts but hopefully they should be easy to track down. I thought I would post up a photo of the firewall...

    Bench testing power antenna

It’s definitely not a factory power antenna. In the FSM it shows brown wire for down, yellow for up but as stated this one has green and red. The black wire is short and has a ring end on it so it can be bolted down, hence the obvious ground.

    Bench testing power antenna

The power antenna on my 70 300 has been replaced at some point in the past, and is currently not working. A friend gave me an era correct power antenna he had and I thought I would just swap it out with mine, then I thought I should bench test it first to ensure it is working before installing...

    1957 Windsor questions

I got a local guy to move some junk from around the Windsor today, air up the tires and he pulled it out to beside the farm driveway so that I can now arrange to have it hauled. The car looks better out of the weeds.

    Fender pentastar question

I’m refinishing my 1970 300 convertible, and I’m working on the passenger side fender and door. I’ve removed the fender pentastar and it is basically all black plastic now from years of abuse, so I can’t tell what the original colour was over the black plastic. I see that both gold and silver...

The 58 dodge truck is actually an unbelievably rare Fargo Sweptside, one of 11 made in 1958. I bought that truck 3 years ago (the photos are 3 years old) and I am 2/3 of the way through its restoration

    1957 Windsor questions

I’ve restored worse, and I got the car for next to nothing. Unfortunately there are another 10 or so fin cars there including a couple of custom royals in similar condition that are going to the crusher as the elderly couple have significant health issues and are selling the farm they are on. I...
