I’m in Canada, the speed limit on the road i was on is 80 kph, i had a quick look at the dash and it was reading 80 ……...

Tightened the clamp in the lower rad hose and cleaned the bugs off the windshield just before it started raining then took her around the block and back into the garage.

    64 New Yorker with a 727

What’s everyone using for transmission fluid?? I’ve got people telling me to use ATF+4 or Type F. The pan gasket is leaking so i might as well replace the filter and fluid while i’m at it. Thanks for your help.

    Young guy who needs advice

Finish this one and go from there. You may regret not doing so. I regret getting rid of my first love. A 77 Aspen R/T. 318, factory stick, a no option car except the R/T package but it had tinted glass. Even though it didnt have a/c.

    Engine Fire

Happy to hear the damage is minor. One suggestion I would make, after looking at your photos, the smaller carb return spring, shouldn’t that go through the larger one so the smaller one isn’t kinked?

    Engine Fire

Sound advice about the ethanol gas. I was told by a couple of local guys to me to try and find gas that doesn’t have any ethanol in it. Fortunately, Shell 91 and Canadian Tire 91 doesn’t have ethanol in it. It costs more but if it’ll help protect the fuel system, I’m all for it.
