    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

"More exposure" Well, maybe, but give the current location of the car, rather than changing it every time a new ad is placed. This is such a common scam theme. Canandaigua Motors website is weird, too. Every car listed but one is marked sold. Seems it would be hard to attract buyers with an...

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

Tell him you want to see it in person Tuesday. Ask which city to book the flight for. Just for sh*ts and giggles, why does he list it at the same amount in both US and Canadian $. Why would he list as CA$ in the US? I reported as scam on FB, but I'm sure they don't care. Scammers suck.

If it were mine, I'd leave it as is for now, but get rid of those wide whites.

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

Ooh... Now it is also in Sterling, VA, and Oceanport, NJ! Too bad, it could be a nice ride if it were legit.

    67 Chrysler Newport muscle look

Stripes. It can't be a muscle car without stripes. Really, the widest steel wheels and tires you can fit, with dog dishes. A simple, one color paint job, preferably a dark color. No scoops or bling add ons. Simple, purposeful look. Sleeper, rather than muscle on a big 4 door. This is all...

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

Now his seller profile shows the Imperial for sale in Hudson, NH, Beverly Hills, CA, Benicia, CA, and Houston, TX. I'm going to bed now. Wonder where it will be in the AM. Now I'm saying the current seller is indeed shady.

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

Just dug some more, the car is in supposedly Houston, photo shows sign and phone for J&J auto. Research shows that to be in Clifton Springs, NY. I call shenanigans.

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

George E Smith Motors was a legit dealership at one time in Batavia, NY. Gone now, but I think the building still exists. Somebody did some research, 486 is the code for a console, no "operating." 577 is code for tach, no "console mounted." But the build card is not a repro window sticker, is...

    NOT MINE 1967 Imperial convertible

I'd have to think that an original console would use the same wood veneer as the rest of the car. The tach is wedged in there too tightly. That said, I do like the concept, but if you make the claim, show the build sheet.

Fixing a noisy, tinny sounding trunk lid on my Formal

Do not use foam! A member @vdk2010 did that on his Imperial trunk lid and ruined it. I don't remember how he fixed it, but his car is going to be perfect, so I know he found a way.

    73 Aspen?

Doe not appear to have a front passenger seat. Though a nice looking car, that snowflake on the quarter panels ruins it.

I brought home another one, a '72 Newport Custom

Looks to have a little green on the exterior as well. At least that's easy to deal with. That's sure better than flaky brown! Looks very nice.

NOT MINE Definitely not mine, but I can dream - 300 Hurst convertible

The decals were probably from ad campaigns, because the car was for marketing, so I would expect to see those changes.

NOT MINE Definitely not mine, but I can dream - 300 Hurst convertible

Something has changed, as old pictures show a "300-H" emblem above the front side markers. Who knows when or how that happened. Restoration? Or maybe they just fell off over time. Either way, there is one "difference."

    Got me another Formal

@66l78rat Get it coated with Krown or Fluid Film rust proofing. It may be a little messier to work on, but it won't rust. Rust free fasteners is a good thing. I know you don't intend to winter drive, but even water will hurt it eventually. Costs ~ $200.

    Wide angle passenger side mirror

Some people bad mouth Amazon, but living in a rural area as I do, it is a Godsend. I can find things I need without driving 1 hour + to get to a city. I can get to town in 10 minutes, but its Wal-Mart, A couple of auto parts stores, or Tractor Supply. Then there's time and miles looking for the...

    Wide angle passenger side mirror

Well, if they are 4.25" diameter, these may be what you need. I looked on Amazon under "round convex mirror" and found some other sizes that appeared to be automobile replacements. It took some scrolling. Hope this helps you out. Cheapest I found was Rockauto, @$17.01, but I didn't look at any...
