I will probably put it on the frame rail when time comes with the engine in.

I need to rebuild/reseal both engine and trans first so once that’s done that shouldn’t be an issue.

    I’d definitely appreciate that!

Well that’s cool as well. Whenever you have time and a clean shop let me know, I’d be more than happy to put in on material. Those covers came out really good! I wouldn’t have guessed they weren’t original to it

What would fabricating a floor hump cost to have you do that? I don’t doubt I can make one but if you have the correct one end can make a replica of that that fits the stock tunnel that would save me a lot of time which is the hottest commodity for me these days haha.

I would definitely appreciate it, the car is a bit distant on the project list but collecting the parts now makes the most sense. Let me know what you find!

That’s kinda what I was thinking about doing. My firebird has a t56 and no off the shelf manual adapter would work for it so I cut my 4 speed one to pieces and reconfigured it over the hole (since the t56 was centered and the 4 speed are offset like these) I’ll see what a b body repop costs.

Thank you for the pictures! That will narrow down the search for sure!

Shoot, I wasn’t sure if a B body was close and they made the sheet metal for that. They do for my firebird, maybe I’ll try something like that.

Yeah, I got that part but I assumed that you had to turn the key to unlock the rear gate too, or that was an opening mechanism. The key hole is in a piece of trim but it wasn’t obvious how that moved or opened the gate.

Didn’t think of that, is there an off the shelf option for that that works?

A z bar and bracket would both be helpful, any position measurements/pictures of the bracket would also be helpful. The 4 speed setup I would appreciate pictures of too from the perspective of the shifter and mounting etc so I can seek the rest of the parts I’m missing.

Damn, I didn’t expect it to be that fancy! I’ll give it a shot. Is there any way to get the hatch open once the glass is down if the key hole is jacked up?

Yeah, might be a while because I have a lot of projects ahead of it but I may yank the motor and trans because I have a friend who needs a big block 727

Ah I didn’t know it was electrical. That’s annoying. I was hoping there was something mechanical about it, I figured 66 was too early for electrical. Unfortunately it’s pretty mangled, so even if I did it would probably not operate

Yeah, it’s on a farm so it’s unavoidable at this stage. The inside doesn’t seem very chewed up. They seem to like my 67 chevelle more though. Under the hood though there was a pile of the pits from the olive tree. Hopefully it’s salvageable.

    66 polara wagon.

Hello, I figured I introduced myself in the main part of the forum but should add to the wagon section. This is my 66 polara wagon. It was abandoned before I was born basically and I’m trying to get the title and resurrect it. It’s got a 325hp 383 (even with the 2 barrel) and I’m planning to...
