Well. I picked the 73 up today. And she’s rough but the good parts are really good and the bad parts are really bad so to speak.. (side note is there anyway to tell if it has suregrip from the fender tag?)

The main thing is going to be the heater core. But I figured while I have it out I might as well go over it and check everything else out and clean it up.

I agree. That’s what I did on my old Newport after it sat 30 years. Worked great for that car. As far as the Imperial goes the paint is really rough in some spots. And the Previous owner got overspray on the quarter panel from the “bodywork” he did and there’s some rust that still needs fixed on...

With it nearing the one year anniversary of me owning this car I figured I would post an update for those who care. Since this post I’ve -rebuilt the 440 as close to factory specs as possible -painted the engine bay don’t give me flack about it being black im painting the car black haha...

OEM Mopar Unsilenced air cleaner. Has a 440 magnum pie tin which is glued on. Could most likely be removed but it would probably ruin the pie tin. It appears that there was some rust holes that were patched. $250 OBO+shipping or local pickup Marble PA 16334 I accept PayPal.

eBay. The one I ordered is kind of rough and needs restoration. There’s a few restored ones on there in the $700-$1200 range. Of course the 70s style ones are more common, and therefore cheaper.

Just ordered a 68 spec dual snorkel air cleaner for my 68, 300 and I need to get a filter for it. Rock auto has a 3-1/2” and 2-3/4” tall filter which one would I need? Or if someone has a part number that would be even better. -Thanks Josh
