8.75 rear axle - room for 2 bearings?

To clarify, I was only describing one axle assembly from carrier to the outer flange in my comments above, not the entire driveline. And also only the 8.75 rear end which was the quesion. During the design phase all road forces are considered and supported by the entirety of the driveline and...

8.75 rear axle - room for 2 bearings?

There are 2 bearings in the rear, where the torsional and fritional pressures exist. One in the carrier where gear torque is initiated and one at the flange plate where traction forces are imparted. The space in between doesnt need more bearings. And adding one would add extra expense with...

8.75 rear axle - room for 2 bearings?

I'm really curious about why you'd want two bearings when ma-mopar built hundreds of thousands, possibly millions globally, of 8.75 rear ends and while they continuously improved the axles, splines, tapers, diameter etc and changed third members, gears sets, sure grip but never added 2 bearings...

How hard can it be...68 sport fury

Not sure how it ended up with incorrect taillights, Lord knows how many owners its had before I got it. But after spending stupid money for good light fixtures and lenses for my 72 charger SE Im just happy they are there. I know the black seats are incorrect. The seats that were originally in it...

How hard can it be...68 sport fury

Well pulled the trigger on my first C body. She's rough and as a B body guy I've probably bit off more than I can chew, but what the hell. I spent less than what my chargers suspension cist so as a mopar guy I'll just go into it assuming none of the parts are available, all the bolts will break...
