how to free or prevent sticky valves and lifters

    >> marvel mystery oil works >> Absolutely! Balanced and complex, this marvelous mysterious red is harmonious, even elegant, with a clear deep rich garnet color, a pleasant delicate bouquet and a curious lingering finish on the palate when siphoned. It pairs quite well with just about any...

    Oil cap rebuild

The original cap can be taken apart by drilling out a rivet and bending tangs on the bottom. Then use ScotchBrite stainless steel scouring pad from the supermarket dishwashing detergent section. Even has a hole in the middle for a perfect fit. 3 for $2.99 at my ShopRite.

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Just want to let folks know that Pilkington in Ohio, now part of NSG, has new windshields (as well as other auto glass, shaded or clear) that fit the 300K convertible. They also fit 1961-64 T&C wagons. Prices & shipping costs are reasonable. They'll talk directly to your installer if the...

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Thanks, Commando1. 'Pilk' which I assume means Pilkington, is in fact NSG's wholesaler now. My glass guy and the NSG rep are supposed to be talking to one another to decide if this will fit. Then the only other issue I know my glass guy is worried about is the gasket. I told him not to worry as...

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

The only mfr I'm fairly sure about is NSG (Japan). The SA & China references were mainly hearsay from others that I remember seeing. Jack E/NJ

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

OK polara71, that's sorta my position after 8 mos of searching. Do you have any advice on who I should try first. A mfr's wholesaler at $475 with shipping directly to my glass guy? Or $1700 from an ebay retailer who may(or may not) be offering the same mfr's repro? Or someone in between who you...

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Piecing together the helpful info I got from everyone here, the generic brand W590 or DW590 (Domestic Windshield) part# listed in NAGS and advertised by about a half-dozen sellers seems correct for the 300K convertible and *similar-size* pre-1965 Mopars. The main issue is that all these sellers...

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Thanks Mr C. While your informative post prolly wouldn't make my autobody shop guy any leerier than he already is, it certainly made me leerier than when I started this thread today. 8^( Any suggestions on how I might resolve this issue? Jack E/NJ

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

    >>>that windshield is rag cars only , its short height>>> You mentioned this earlier. I'm not sure if you were referring specifically to the 300K convertible. But my shop also recently had concerns about this possibly. A friend who retired from SafeLite glass years ago also said it was a...

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Yeah. He's one of the windshield dealers who claims the DW590 fits the 1961-1964 Chrysler C-BODY cars. Jack E/NJ

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Thanks Pomonamissel. The W590 number sounds familiar. Does DW590 mean anything? One of the windshield dealers claims he has the DW590 windshield. Jack E/NJ

    1964 Chrysler 300K convertible/a c-body?

Thanks Commando1. The post-1964 years this official chart applies to is quite relevant to the issue here. Windshield mfrs & dealers seem to unofficially use this same C-BODY classification in describing what their windshields fit for pre-1965 Mopars. Specifically they ***claim*** their...
