Please help me ID this wire

With the way that wire is labeled, my guess is it is aftermarket. And being 10 gauge, my second guess is it was an attempt at the ammeter bypass. (Just guessing though). And when you say ammeter bypass, you can’t do it without tagging @cbarge

2023 the year of no progress for the ‘68

Isaiah, If sound financial advice is what you’re looking for here, then get out of the old car hobby. From a purely financial perspective, and as much as I hate to say it, Jakter is not wrong. You will likely not come out ahead financially speaking on these cars. Now if you are here for...

2023 the year of no progress for the ‘68

@Isaiah Estrada I inherited my 68 300 when I was 24 or so. I enjoyed it while I could, but then the engine really went south and it was going to be way too expensive for me to repair it. Then I met the love of my life at 27, got married, and had a couple of great kids. The car just sat… and...

WANTED 1968 Chrysler 300 Passenger Cornering Light Assembly

Went up to the attic today. Turns out the two Corning lights I have are both the left side. Part #2606777. I realize you don’t have a need for the left side, but still happy to offer them up to any one who might want them. One has an apparent repair. Both of the lenses are intact, but each...

    Are books obsolete?

We go through a lot of books in our house. Mrs SPF Required is an educator, and we still have school aged kids. Quite a few years ago I built a little feee library and put it up in front of our house. I am always fascinated by how much ‘action’ that little library gets. We give away a ton of...

How do I get old hardened tree sap off convertible top? 66 Polara

Sometimes that can of air you can buy to dust off things like keyboards works. Just hold the can upside down so the liquid comes out when you spray it. I think they also sell freeze spray in the chocolate/baking section of hobby stores like Michael’s of Joann’s

‘67/‘68 vacume parking brake & backup light switch

What @detmatt said. The switch itself can usually be rehabbed, but that little pin is probably missing from the lower end of the column. I have tried replicating the pin, but no luck yet.
