    383 Intake install

Just use the steel shim only intake gasket. Use a little RTV in the corners where the intake gasket meets cylinder head and engine block to prevent oil seepage or leaks. Clean all manifold bolts and chase the treads in the cylinder head. Oil the threads prior to install and torque to specs.

What is going on with my valve train?!?!?!?!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. A through tear down and cleaning of all engine parts is required. This is a lot of effort on your part to carry out Make sure that 440 Source provides all necessary gaskets to do so. Failure to do will certainly reduce engine life and guaranteeing...

I Feel So Stupid...Idler Arm Removal

I have had this puller for many years. Bought it from Auto Zone. Would recommend replacing the Through bolts w/ grade 8 Quality bolts, nuts, and thicker washers. Good for assisting w/ tie rod ends and center links or idler arms and pitman arms.

    Sending Unit Recommendations

Stay away from cheap aftermarket sending units. Accuracy is debatable, most new ones are not. Check your sending unit ground strap for corrosion and do the same for the body, battery and instrument panel grounds. As for lock rings, OEM is the way to go. The aftermarket ones are poorly made and...

NOT MINE 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst

I believe the correct color gold is Byzantine Gold Iridescent which is a Cadillac color. This color is recognized by Hurst Corp. as the correct color. I had a few oz's made up to confirm this and it's perfect. A earlier shade of gold Hurst used was Sauterne Gold which is darker as I confirmed.

I have a '71 Imperial with an engine leaking oil...

Your engine teardown will reveal the truth. Post photos of your teardown and inspection. @ayilar's Buttercup was supposed to be in good condition and if you follow the thread it was one of the best running 440's in such poor condition internally I have seen in the last 30yrs.

I have a '71 Imperial with an engine leaking oil...

Your decision to rebuild is correct. No mention was made of exact mileage on the car. With no engine teardown having been done. I would caution you that a ring replacement only may not give you the results and quality your looking for. The same goes for the crankshaft. In crankshaft precision...

    Hissing noise from brake pedal

Its time to replace or rebuild your power brake booster. As far as who to use, the personal choice is Booster Dewey. The craftmanship and high quality finished work alone makes them a first choice.

    NOT MINE 1969 Chrysler 300 Convertible $50k

Yep I'm busted. With the restrictions placed on me by my HOA association I needed to place my 300 vert. up for sale. The price set was made by Gateway, not me. Would be willing to sell to one of our members for an agreed upon price. The 300 will be there at Gateway till the end of April. So to...

    My unexpected Hurst 300 Find

Is this salvageable. My OEM heater control valve has begun to leak coolant. The housing parts appear to be in excellent condition w/ no cracks. Response at the dash controls is spot on. The rub is where to get gaskets to repair it. Are there any underlining failures I need to look for. If it...
