Ordered cables. By the way the end cable housing was so stuck in the transmission that I had to remove the housing from the trans and using a hammer and a mandrel I had to really whack on it to get it out...I'm guessing 55 years of some kind of galvanic corrosion did the trick...

Manage to break the cable so much that it leaks oil..so anyone have a source for a new parking lock cable? "Cheapest" I've found so far is about $330..

It was 1/4", unf, 28tpi.

Best guess after measuring is 1/4"-20 unc..

Does anybody happen to know the thread size on that bolt? The nut is stripped and the cable still attached to the housing so i cant bring it with me to look for a new nut.. Positive is that the trans is back and ready to be put in.

Thanks..will try, have but will, again. The thing will simply not come out no matter what, stripped the threads of the nut eventually..so the guy doing the trans will have to do without the housing.

1965 300. Question from someone that has not done this before. Removed the 727 in order to change some seals and go through it. The issue is the parking lock cable, first are you suposed to get it out from the housing cover? I have removed the cover and loosened the clamp bolt and tapped it...

Probably...but then again...a 2 door and a back seat...some small coffins.

The imperial is one of 3 made as prototypes ...this being the only one left. He bought it -80..quite unique.

Thought I would check the possibility of ordering a new tank now that it seems to be produced again at Vans Auto. Since I'm not situated near by(Sweden) I had to check the shipping...

I can just get a string and measure it to get close but I figured someone might know...the old ones are trashed since they got cought and ripped to peaces... Rockauto lists 66" for a 0.44" wide (67.1" for .406"w) for the alternator and ac belt...sounds about right..(but contradicts CBODY67...
