What is a Sport Fury III, or a Sports Fury?

I have all the stainless, and I bought the inserts several years ago from a guy in Canada that makes them. I also have enough of the horizontal bars on the upsweep to do 1 side. I figure I can make them out of stainless tubing for the other side. I'm leaning towards using emblem tape to hold the...

What is a Sport Fury III, or a Sports Fury?

Yeah, I'm still up in the air on how I'm going to build it, but it will definitely have the Fury sportone trim and not the Savoy trim.

Does it still count as rare with no engine in it?

    Not sure about Vansauto

It's been going on for a long time. About 10-12 years ago I ordered 3 parts from them on eBay (before they had a website), and 2 of the 3 items were completely wrong, not even close to what I ordered. I checked their feedback and discovered it was a common occurrence. I sent them a message...

Safest lube for gas tank O ring?

Oh OK, makes sense, I knew about Plymouth hardtop not getting the bubble windshield until 1959, but I was thinking the roof was was the same, just the trim and gasket were different.

I thought Dodge was the same roof? Is it not?

Extra set of eyes needed (online) for purchase 1959 Imperial Crown

These cars had 2 wheel cylinders per drum on the front brakes. I've read it's common for them to pull if not adjusted correctly, and most people don't use the manual for adjusting brakes. If the manual is followed step by step, the problem will probably go away.

    1962 Chrysler Newport

a rear end from a 65-68 C body is a common swap into a forward look car. The spring perches are close enough to not matter and the drum to drum measurement is very close too.

    58 Savoy.

If you're talking about cutting the forward part of the wheel well for fitment, consider moving the rear end back 1/2" to 1" instead. The way I did mine (in a Dart), was I drilled another locating hole in the spring perch. You can also put a spacer in front of the forward spring hanger, but that...

    1966 Imperial Transmission Mount

I bought an original mount from detmatt. It's been over a year and my memory is fuzzy, but I think it dropped right in. I don't remember having to make any adjustments to install it.

1958 Plymouth savoy police car I found today

Didn't cop cars use the ugly '57 Plymouth steering wheel into the early 60's? Also the speedo doesn't look like it's certified.

    Suddenly It's 1960

LOL, "Save money on oil with a 4 qt sump vs 5 qt sump", might as well make it 3 quarts to save even more! Seems like a lot of their points don't hold up in hindsight. I didn't know that the '60 Dart was on a Plymouth chassis, interesting. I knew the late 50's Chrysler Windsor were on a Dodge...

    1957-58 Plymouth build

It doesn't look like I can send pics in a private message, so I'll post them here if that's alright. I got to looking at my parts car, and besides the ribbed trim and drip rail trim, it looks like there's some more stainless on the outside of the rubber window channel (see 1st pic). Pic #1...

    1962 Crown Imperial

A plucked chicken! That's what Exner called the '62 line up. I had a '61 Imperial with the really tall fins for a short time. Here's a few things I know about them. That body style was from 61-63 and boasted the thickest sheetmetal on any production car, so you probably won't find any hail...

    1957-58 Plymouth build

I have 2 pairs of the ribbed roof trim and I'll only need one. One pair is still on the parts car (pictured) and has years of filth on them, the other I bought years ago and stashed away, I think the only issue on those were rusted mount studs. Let me know if your interested and I'll take a...

727 damaged line. Which part is this?

I've read some people had good luck using dual wall heat shrink tubing over the hole. I'd use 4:1 dual wall (glue lined) heat shrink tubing in whatever diameter will go over the fitting on the end. Then best to use a heat gun to shrink it.
