    Door Jam Switch

Thanks. I will look again. When I removed the kick panel, the only access holes I saw only my 3 year old grandson's hands would fit through. With now knowing the color of the wire, maybe I can fish it through.

How do you replace a dome door jam switch? When I remove the old switch there is no wire attached. How do you get to the wiring for the door jam switch. 1965 Fury III 2 door hardtop.

For Sale 65-66 Fuel tanks official

I preordered the tank for my 65 Fury III and received it the 6th of this month. It looks perfect and fit just like the original. If you order the sending unit, be sure to check both packing flaps for the retaining ring. The one with the sending unit is too small. I called and talked with Vans...

    1964 Rear Axle Assembly Question

On most rear ends, if you spin one axle, the one on the other side will spin the other direction. If you spin one axle and someone holds the other axle, the drive shaft should spin. Not stupid just ignorant. Ignorant can be fixed, stupid can't!! Ignorant is just not knowing something.

    Engine stumbles under acceleration

I read an article about timing by ear. But first I replaced the spark plugs (E3) and plug wires. Set the timing by ear like the article suggested, reset the mixture screws with vacuum gauge. Just took it around the block ( my block is about 20 miles ) and it ran great. Cruising about 80 felt...

    Engine stumbles under acceleration

Update today. I put SeaFoam in the gas filter and squirted SeaFoam in the carburetor and set mixture screws out one turn. Ran the engine long enough to get the SeaFoam in all the carburetor ports and hidden places and let set for about 1 hour. It smoked lots when engine was started. Reset timing...

Thanks again for all the great information. Got a carb kit and vacuum gauge. Rebuilt the carb. Retimed the engine to 10 BTDC. Vacuum advance does work right. Connected the vacuum gauge and got a steady 20 reading. The mixture jet screws I screwed all the way in and backed off 2 turns. Turning...

I ordered carb rebuild kit for local parts supplier. Just gave the year and engine and 2 barrel. When I pulled the carb, found out I had the wrong kit. That is why I just disassembled and cleaned with carb cleaner. I cannot read the tag very good. Can you tell the kind of carb and if the number...

    Gas tank filler neck seal

Yes, it is side fill. The filler neck with the gas cap uses a rubber reducing coupler to the metal tube that goes into the tank. Phillip AKA Grits

    Gas tank filler neck seal

The hole in the tank is too small and the filler neck is smaller that he hole in the seal. I ended up reusing the old seal by gasket sealer for fuel. The old seal has some minor cracks, but the gasket sealer I used make it work great.

Why did you buy your classic Mopar??

I bought a 1965 Fury III 2 door hardtop a few weeks ago after looking for several years for the one I wanted. For years I thought the 65 and 66 Fury III 2 door hardtop were the prettiest body style of any car. My father had mopars with slant sixes, 318s and they were tough little cars. Years...
