    1957-58 Plymouth build

My pleasure Terry. Always happy to help a fellow Moparman. Sixpack 440ci Jensens are very rare indeed! Love the story of the Dodge pick-up, those days are long gone sadly... Some cars drink fuel and that's without a lead-foot driver! My mate runs a 318ci injected Ram most days in LA and he...

    1957-58 Plymouth build

As you probably know the 350ci was a 4 1/8 bore bigblock. Which grew to 361 the following year and then in 62 up to 383ci. That was the same block just bored out! I have one of these early 361 into 383 blocks with the correct heads which are 4 bolt covers. These are different to the 64 on head...

    1957-58 Plymouth build

The early 383's were painted turquoise for the Mopars. But Jensen painted them black with silver covers, for some strange reason? Not my favourite colour but its original for Jensen CV8, Interceptor etc... This is another 1964 Cv8 engine I did a few years back.

    1957-58 Plymouth build

Anyways what I would like to offer you is 'a BIG BLOCK' engine from England. I have a garage full of engines from Mild to Wild lol... As a lifelong collector and builder of Mopar engines I have some spare! Just finished a first year 383ci engine 62/63 for a Jensen Cv8 but the owner has fallen...

    1957-58 Plymouth build

My friend here in the UK was/is a Christine nut too! He had saved up £5000 back in the 80's to buy one in the USofA. I had just bought a 68 R/T Charger from the USA and he bought that from me instead.:usflag: Think he sort of regrets it now as finding a Christine will be very hard...

    1965 pace car restoration

My friends 65 Fury has a two barrel 383ci and that ran good and was cheap to run! Now its a 512ci 440 with a 950 Holley carb, runs real good up to 150mph and then it gets scary lol... Still good on gas though at around 15mpg's...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

1975 fury crash test! Unlike modern cars the design and weight was an issue to the folks inside. Mass is energy and is hard to stop! Lighter cars better built with airbags etc will save you in a crash. Not every crash is someone's fault, its just an accident...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

Sorry 76 Fury, Your thread started out in pure innocence and look where we ended up! It touched me on so many levels it was hard NOT to reply with 'home truths'. I would loved to had a father who would contemplate me even driving his car, (it never happened ). I went through a bad divorce and...

The GTX's are the best cars ever made! I have had a 70 and still have a 71 in sassy. Lucky enough to drive a 67 426 4-speed hemi GTX car back ten years ago. Wow its the highlight of my Mopar life without a doubt... So back on track, why spoil a factory 440ci car with a 318ci? I have upgraded...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

All we had was beer and fags and no money to buy either lol... I did play space invaders for a while and my girlfriend said I was a NURD! So I tuned up my Cortina and frightened her to death. Bad mistake as she was gorgeous and a great loss... You live and learn then regret foolish things you...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

The longer you live the more you see! I class myself as an excellent driver, raced since the 70's... Surprisingly a few times ( to me) I have lost control and been lucky! I will race anyone, anywhere and anytime... I would not have said that when I was 17 and lived to tell the tale, I bet...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

Next story, I flew over to LA in 2004 to buy an engine from Tom Nelson in LA. We got to know one of his workers real well and we had a beer or two together. Then one morning I saw him asleep in his car outside the workshop! ''A rough night Glenn'' I said , to which he replied ''its rough every...

1976 Gran fury wagon. Want to go from 440 to a 318

Ok then, I wasn't gonna say this but I will. The bigger the car the bigger the accident! Back in 1979 I had a lotus Cortina 1600, it was quick but handled well. I had been track racing so I knew my limitations on the street in my early twenties. The company I worked for had an influx of 16...
