    Testing the Heater Blower switch..

The fan switch itself is easy enough to test with a multimeter, just check for continuity on the correct wires depending on switch position. I'm not sure about testing or removing the fan but you may be able to run a jumper to the resistor block or the fan itself to see if it works.

    Testing the Heater Blower switch..

Is there another switch that is disconnected? The one that selects heat/def/ac. I think that needs to be connected and not in the off position in order to have power to the fan switch. I believe that will provide the power for the low speed and then the switch will let you select med or high fan...

    No gears

On some of the earlier transmissions the converter would drain out and give the symptoms you describe. Try starting the car and shifting to neutral and let it run there for a minute or two before shifting into gear to let the converter get filled up again.

    68' Newport Sportsgrain Convertible

Here is my Sportgrain convertible, when I got it and after an unfortunate incident with a 'joisy' driver. I had a parts car that I was able to get all of the unique trim from, and also scored a set of correct woodgrain decals for the side. As purchased it had a 383 2 bbl which I've upgraded to...

Thinking of Going BACK to Front Drums

I took your advice: Install a Brake Proportioning Valve - Tech Article - Chevy High Performance Magazine As stated in the article, rear brakes locking before the fronts creates a DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT IS NOT NORMAL! YOU DO NOT HAVE STEERING CONTROL WITH THE REAR BRAKES LOCKED! Proportioning...

Thinking of Going BACK to Front Drums

If you want steering control in a panic stop learn to modulate the brake pedal so the tires won't lock up. In either situation of tires locking up you WILL lose steering control, but the manner of loss will be different. Fronts lock up, the rear tires will still provide control in that the car...

Thinking of Going BACK to Front Drums

It is absolutely NOT NORMAL for the rear brakes to lock first!!! If the rears lock first, your *** end is gonna swing around and you won't have any directional control. Fronts should ALWAYS lock first!

1975 Wagon, 440 mostly stock charging system not working.

You should have blue and green wires to the field on the alternator. Blue should have power from the ignition switch. The green wire supplies a variable ground to vary the alternators output.

    Rescued Just in Time!

C-barge here is one you can rescue that's a little closer to you. Saw this last weekend while visiting family in the area but couldn't stop to check it out. It looks like it hasn't moved in a while because these Google street views are 3 years old.

NOT MINE 68 chrysler woody conv 11K

Great car for the money! I also see cruise control, cornering lights, A/C, three speaker dash. Downside is that it is missing some of the woodgrain surround trim and it looks like all of the woodgrain on the passenger side trim. If someone here gets this car I have the missing trim piece.
