NOT MINE 1978 Chyrsler New Yorker - Bluewater Ontario - $5500

Could you get hold of a picture of the fender tag? Might be a "Late C-Body".

    Dealership code question.

From my data, some blocks were differently populated, though. The time frame may make a difference here. 0XXXX: Check. 2XXXX: Dodge, with something special about them (trucks, performance?). There were not that many around. 4XXXX: Check; the oldest orig. date I found in this block is 08-64...

    Dealership code question.

There is an "orig. date" column in the 1986 Dealer Directory. That date is probably related to the agreement that was valid at that moment. For instance, Slate Motor Co, Mount Airy, NC, became a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer in 1964. But their dealership code 64220 points to a Direct Dealer Agreement...

    Region and dealer codes

I did not come across any "ordinary" dealer codes in the 10000-19999 range. They must have served some other purpose. For instance, 12003 Chrysler Corporation Fleet Div Employee Lease, Detroit, Michigan seen on a 1978 car.

Any members in Italy or Sicily?

To be more specific about Friuli, there is an annual gathering of US cars in Lignano Sabbiadoro, that also attracts participants from Slovenia and Austria. The nationally distributed magazine on US cars, Cruisin', is also produced in Friuli. The pictures on both sites are a give-away as to...

Any members in Italy or Sicily?

Well, I haven't been to southern Italy for years, so I can't say much about that part of the country, only that it's getting hotter every year. There must be villages where buying property should be cheap, as a countermeasure againts depopulation. Italian love vintage cars, especially those...

The fender tag should still be there. Although this car will not have been the last C-Body, still a picture of the fender tag will be of interest. Door sticker too, please!

I'm afraid this is old news. On a cosmic scale plus/minus five years may be insignificant, but similar news has already been reported on the web some time ago: January 15, 2022: BBC Science Focus November 21, 2019: The Byte November 11, 2019: YouTube Must have been some AI algorhythm bumping...

    Dealer codes

At the bottom of every thread on this forum there is a section called "Similar threads". I wonder why for this thread the "Old Dealer Codes" thread is not included. Another quirk of AI (= Artificially Called Intelligence), maybe?
