    14" or 15" wheels on a 66 300

Stockton had gone out of business some years ago, so it seems somebody must have resurrected the company. That is good to see! I purchased some 15" wheels with welded "inserts" to install 14" hubcaps maybe 5 or so years ago. It was not from Stockton as they were out of business at the time. I...

    Are there any other options?

I found a booster on eBay from Pirate Jack and others that is a dual 8" booster. They offer a B-body one of course, then another one marketed for C bodies that comes with a hefty amount of warning that modification is necessary. I was thinking of sending them a message to ask for details on the...

From 14x6 rims to 15x6 on a 1966 New Yorker

FredNY66: You mention a few makes of brand new wheels that appeared to have the factory black steel wheel Mopar look. Which brand did you get? Do they work fine with factory hubcaps? I am looking to get 15 inch steel wheels, and would like to just get new as well and match them with some...

    67 Brake Lines on a 66?

Yesterday I did manage to reverse the MC to block lines to the correct orientation (front=rear, rear=front). John Kirby: You are correct the factory distribution blocks for 67/68 on up have the warning light indicator in them, however you are incorrect about the spring to hold off the rear...

66 Dual Power Booster - options?

Thank you. I did not know he was that close! Once antifa stops burning Portland down I’ll have to visit Dewey and see what he has to help me.

    Drum/Drum master cylinder. Front/rear - should I care?

That was a great and informative video. it seemed to hint toward the end that gravity bleeding a drum/drum master was not a good idea due to the residual ports in the MC? I have been gravity bleeding my system a few times. Should I stop that and do the pump method?

    Drum/Drum master cylinder. Front/rear - should I care?

the block is just a distribution block not a proportioning valve. There was one there originally for the single master setup and this is just the InLineTube version for upgrade to dual master so I’m not worried about the block. Just wondering if reversing the front/rear ports on a drum/drum...

    Drum/Drum master cylinder. Front/rear - should I care?

On my 66 300 one thing I have done during my hard brake pedal fiasco is convert to a dual drum/drum master. Got the distro block and plumbed it up. The question arose, for drum/drum master (67 C body master) does it matter which port I use for front and which one for rear? I think right now I...

66 Dual Power Booster - options?

That is a great catch, and very good point. With that being noted, I would envision that a dual 8" booster would still provide more assist than a single 9" that I have now, although obviously not as much as a dual 9". Would it be enough? Is there another dual 9" booster I am missing somewhere?

66 Dual Power Booster - options?

There is another one that is more "Mopar" original looking that also claims to be easily installable. 1966-70 Mopar OE Bendix Style 8" Dual Power Brake Booster for Mopar B Bodies This is about the same price as the other more generic version I posted earlier. Again, not sure this would fit...

    67 Brake Lines on a 66?

This weekend I began modifying lines from the 67 set from InLineTube to work on my 66 with dual master. The two front lines (block to brake) needed modification on the block ends. Just not quite coming in at the right angle. I had this problem on the original 66 set I ordered, and I think I...

66 Dual Power Booster - options?

So I have been tracking the (lack) of available options for getting a dual booster in my 66 300 for a few years now. I know the available feed lot of rebuildable units is near zero. Previous C-Bodies Discussion Thread This previous (2017) conversation on the "replacement" dual diaphragm units...

Power Booster Push Rod Length - 66 300

Through some brake troubles one thing I wanted to check was the power booster push rod length to validate it is properly set In the 66 shop manual I could not seem to find the specification. This is a standard drum/drum single power booster. What should the power booster push rod length be...

    67 Brake Lines on a 66?

Did you ever get this plumbed like this? How did it work? I just ordered a set of 67 lines and it is not a direct fit at the master cylinder. Looking to make modifying lines as easy as possible. The threaded male part of that adapter - is that 1/8 NPT to fit into the existing distribution...

    67 Brake Lines on a 66?

Thank you everybody for the helpful information! I think I’ll go with a 67 set, which is what I was hoping was possible.

    67 Brake Lines on a 66?

So I converted over to a dual master on my 66 300. Power 4-wheel drum (yes, they are miserable). I did a really bad job on the new brake lines and want to just buy some pre-bent lines. I've had great luck with InLineTube over the years for Ford applications. Will a 67 set work well enough on my...
