I wonder when the odometer was replaced? It read 87717 when the engine was replaced. Now it reads 09136. That dose not add up with the owner stating its only been driven 500 miles.

Dose anyone have the bolt length and size for the 440 accessory brackets. I want to replace the bolts. Currently it's a mix of original bolts and replacements with washers as the bolts are too long. It's a 76 440 with A/C and CA smog. In a 76 Gran fury wagon. Any information helps. Thanks

Glad to see you did not run into many problems. I have had the water pump belt slip in the higher rpm range. That and my timing being a bit off caused it to overheat well highway driving. @King Hooter I'm glad I saved it from a derby. I have had derby guys try and buy it. All I did was patched the gas tank and give it a tune up. I have racked up 3500 miles since. Brakes are next on the list as they work but could be better.

The more you drive it before hand helps show the things that will cause problems. I do carry tools, 5 gallons of gas and a spare set of belts. Anyway how many miles have you put on it so far?

Post a picture of the fender tag. You can also try looking for the broadcast sheet. It could be in a number of places. Mine was under the flooring.

I got it tested. Showed no charge. Decided to replaced the voltage regular. The bottom of the old one was completely rusted out. With the new one installed voltage is at 13.8 volts. So that looks to have been the problem.

It's a 76 Gran fury wagon. 100 amp alternator with stock wiring. A lot of the stuff I found searching was for earlier setups.

How do I tell if my alternator or voltage regulator is going bad. When running I only see 12.8 volts at the battery. When off it's 12.1 to 12.3 volts. Is there some ohm reading I should take?
