Me too! My Grandad had a ‘67 Polara with them and I thought they were so cool. When my Mom bought a new ‘74 Valiant, it had them too. The stuff we notice as kids that stay with us forever...

I did the comet wash to my ‘72 Dodge pickup. The paint is original, very thin and very oxidized. After the comet I used Meguiar’s Polish by hand, then waxed it w/Meguiar’s Gold. Not a huge, but definitely a noticeable difference/improvement. I don’t think much more could be done with this paint...

Wondering if any of you all have watched any of The Chemical Guys vids or Ammonyc vids on FB? I watched one the other day of a guy doing a ‘68 GTX that was in about exactly the same shape, paint-wise as my car.

I’ve also got a ‘72 Dodge Power Wagon whose paint is far more oxidized than the Plymouth. I plan on using it as a guinea pig to see what works and what doesn’t! Ultimately I want to get it resurrected as best I can as well.
