what is best oil to use on 1978 Chrysler with 400 engine?

I've had great luck with LiquiMoly 10W-60 in my 383 with 135K on the short block. Rings are a bit loose, and it has reduced oil consumption to about 1qt every 2K miles. I put in a bottle of zinc additive with the LiquiMoly. Engine runs very smooth and lunati voodoo cam is a bit quieter with...

    Timing chain replace, et al

Pretty sure that you can do exactly what you have stated...the timing cover fits over the dowels and the bottom shelf can pull out from the oil pan if the bolts are removed. I removed the oil pan on my 383 in the car...didnt have to raise the engine at all. Some of the bolts are tough to get...

Curious if you have any pics of the sway bar installation? Looks like you didnt have issue with exhaust as it exits in front of rear tires.

    Rod bearings

440 source has a really nice stroker kit for a 383. I think it makes the 383 a 438 with the .030 over bore and 3.75 crank throw. There's another kit for the 383 that they offer also with more cubes.

Survivor 1967 Chrysler Town & Country Station Wagon

My dad had the 67 Dodge Monaco version...9 passenger, fully loaded with the 350 HP 440. What a car that was. I have 4 older sisters and the 3 oldest drove the car. My dad loved that car....but...hated the gas mileage. It was actually a Chrysler executive car...used by George Love, the...

    1968 Chrysler Town and Country

I'd recommend a new 22" 3 row aluminum radiator and a clutch fan installation. Worked great on my 68 sport fury 383 h-code engine. I do not have a shroud on my radiator.

PST 1" front swaybar, on 65 Chrysler 300L

I bought and installed the PST sway bar on my 68 sport fury convertible. Never liked the way it fit, and it squeaked/clunked when turning into driveway curb approaches, etc. Took it off and put the OEM one back on with all new bushings. Car did seem to handle better with the PST sway bar...

1966 Chrysler 300 non AC car fan shroud

Spot on advice! Get a 7 bladed fan with a fan clutch. Best of both worlds, better gas mileage and more cooling when needed.

You man, I'll be heading up to BP in June. We need to get together, I'd like to check out your car. I'm debating driving mine up. It's currently getting ready to be painted.

    67-68 Fury Picture thread

I would have bet that your car was a "sold car" (ordered by buyer) but it's not. It would have a "U" code on the plate. Very rare car! Nice find!
