Hi looking for some help I have a 1965 chrysler newport 4 door hardtop. I am searching for the clips that go to the exterior molding strips. Anyone have any leads or contacts that can tell me how to find and buy them.

I would like to get rid of the amp meter and replace it with a volt meter. This is the direction a mechanic told me would be best. Just not going with that mechanic again he tried to do some chinanigans in charging for some stuff he did do.

No 100% sure I believe there is a device that protects the dash from that. I think it has a voltage regulator. Would I need to upgrade that as well.

Lol no not that crazy.... just speakers all around one amp. Upgraded radio. Power antennas so I can put a cover on it without damaging them. Simple stuff but it adds up. I just used regular butt connectors to replace several old connections if it needed ease of disconnection or shink sleeves with build in solder if it didn't need to be disconnected.

The pump is the same one it has had not new.

Over flowing from the bowl area. I took the top off and cleaned it with carb cleaner spray. Put the top back on. After that I turned on the car and when I would step on the pedal gas came out of a nipper on top I think its a vent.

It has the air cleaner stub screwed into the middle of the carb. So I would guess based on your description Stromberg. If that help, I dont know the different between what you said.

So I had the carb rebuild about 3 months ago. Have driven about 5 -6 times no issues with carb. Today all of a sudden I turn the car on and I have it idling waiting for it to heat up to check oil before leaving. I see that the entire area under carb is full of gas. While idling the gas is...

Took it back out a couple times and finally got it to stop leaking. In the struggle I caused a leak with the straps. Used epoxy to seal the leak and its was good. Had to take off the bumper to get good angle on the neck to get it in right.

Yes the tank is firmly sitting up into the truck floor.

I will try and wiggle it some more. It looks like the neck and tank are original to the car so it should he the right parts.
