Dimmer Switch /// Never Seen One Like This /// Sentinel Dimmer

I just went through this on my 69 LeBaron. The 4 prong dimmer has not been available for years. Contact Mobile Parts (Craig Stanley). He had 2 before I bought mine. He is a member on here and is a super nice guy. If the Sentinel system is turned off, your headlights dim and brighten like a...

    1969 Sequential turn signals

I was contacted by Marty Mopar who had a complete sequential system with the original style electric motor and relays. In our contacts he said the system had not been tested to work, but I took a chance and bought it anyway. Well I'm glad to report everything worked fine. I have working...

    1969 Sequential turn signals

As I understand and I maybe wrong, the red box on my system replaces the troublesome mini camshaft/ breaker point setup.

    1969 Sequential turn signals

I've reached the point that I would like to figure this system out and get my signals working properly. When all electrical connections are plugged in, I have bright illumination in both tail lights. With ignition on, signaling left kills illumination in the left tail light assembly. Opposite is...

    I found my imperial!!

I just read this post from the beginning. You mentioned that your couple was originally owned by a dealer in western MN. I was curious if you knew which dealer that may have been? I'm from western MN. so I remember many of the dealers from back in the day.

Correction, FSM does troubleshoot this system.

Headlight dimmer switch for Sentinel system.

I'm thinking this is the relay controlling the beam changer? Purple and green wires are going to the dimmer switch. The FSM doesn't troubleshoot this system. Is there a testing procedure to test this relay?

    Never seen this before, wtf.

I recently saw an article talking how LS engines with stock bottom ends were running 6 second 1/4 mile times, and how no engine has ever done that before. The folks who wrote this need to go back to when they pulled 392 Hemis out of Imperials in junkyards and ran that quick with blowers and nitro.

Headlight dimmer switch for Sentinel system.

Every source I checked has a standard switch. It's a common switch that everyone seems to stock for less than 6 bucks. The problem is my switch has 4 connections. Its known as the auto dimmer switch. That's what I'm unable to locate anywhere. Unless someone has a source, I will likely contact...

    Backup lights not working..

Do you have power at either end that you are jumping? If not, check the fuse. It will be on the acc. side position A. If you have power, wires or connections back to your back up lights need to be checked and tested.

Headlight dimmer switch for Sentinel system.

I removed the floor dimmer switch and cleaned the connections. I also sprayed wd-40 into the switch hoping to clean any pitting or corrosion internally. That didn't seem to help anything. I'd bet the switch is the one it left the assembly line with. Externally, it has seen better days.

Headlight dimmer switch for Sentinel system.

I'm trying to get low beam headlights to work on my 1969 Imperial. High beam lights function fine, but nothing on low. Headlight doors open when I turn on the lights on low beam or high. I'm thinking dimmer switch, but I can't even find a picture of one online, let alone a replacement. The...

    Welcome Hillfarmer to FCBO!

I'm finishing a 6 year restoration of a 1969 Imperial Lebaron my dad bought in 1974. I have lurked on this website for sometime, but now am requiring some technical assistance with ATC and sequential turn signals. In addition to the Imperial, I have a 69 Roadrunner, 68 Hemi Dart, and 73 Cuda...
