I had a 1969 Polara 500 2-door, green body and white painted roof - was that factory?

I agree that the two-tone look really made mine stand out, and the green and white paint plus 500 trim stripe gave it a unique presence. Thanks again for the response!

I had a 1969 Polara 500 2-door, green body and white painted roof - was that factory?

I'm sure they are in the box that's under the box behind a box in the back of the closet somewhere. What I'd really love to find someday is anything with the VIN on it just in case the old gal is still out there somewhere.

I had a 1969 Polara 500 2-door, green body and white painted roof - was that factory?

I wish I'd known back then that someday I'd want a picture of that fender tag and broadcast sheet, at the time I was 18 and my priorities were elsewhere! Oh well, live and learn I guess...

I had a 1969 Polara 500 2-door, green body and white painted roof - was that factory?

Hi, I need to dig up some pictures from way back in 1972 or so, but I had (and absolutely loved) a 1969 Dodge Polara 500. The body was green, the roof was painted white. It was a sharp looking car with the 500 trim and perfect colors for a kid going to college at Michigan State. I've always...

Comment by 'Polara500Fan' in item '69 Dodge Monaco Supershark'

You are looking at the optional "Super-Light" and it actually has a sort of cool back story. Here's a link folks might find interesting: The Space-Age Dodge Super-Lite illuminated the road ahead | Hagerty Media

    Back in a Fuselage

Congrats on picking up this beauty! I had one just like it many years ago, great car for eating miles on the highway. I'd forgotten how much the dash evolved between my 69 Polara and this generation. Like both, just for different reasons!

    1969 Console, woodgrain or not?

FWIW - my 1969 Polara 500 2-door had wood grain and the chrome tulip. The black accent, chrome and wood grain really looked sharp, certain that was the factory ship configuration for that vehicle.

Engine runs at a higher RPM but doesn't idle - possible causes?

Some awesome advice and support already, man I wish this site had existed when I was first banging knuckles! You might try using a short piece of hose (garden hose works great) as sort of a stethoscope to help find the leak. One end near your ear, the other poking around looking for hissing...

    Kinda a newbie question

Given the uncertainty of what is hiding inside the old pump and carb, I'd certainly second the advice to put in the new pump and rebuild the carb. Great tip about making sure it's the right pump (or set correctly if adjustable) for your flow rate! More a general comment than one specific to...

i dont know what to say about this.......

Gorgeous 300 and great sense of humor! Thanks for sharing both. The yarnmobile is fascinating in many ways, but I suspect that getting caught in the rain would be "a bit interesting" in many ways too. At least the Imp could handle the extra thousand pound of water it would soak up! You'd...

For Sale 69 Chrysler 300 Convertible on BAT - Not Mine

In case anyone is interested, the auction on BAT concluded with a final sale price of $9,300. I'm thinking that "charlie8" got themselves a really nice vehicle for the money!

    Welcome Polara500Fan to FCBO!

Hi! Thanks for the note from NZ! I helped design a neutrino telescope (IceCube) now installed and operating at South Pole station, most of our staff traveled through Christchurch en route to McMurdo and on to Pole. We had a crew of six in hotel when the big quake hit, made a mess but everyone...
