I agree that vapor forming in the suction side of the pump itself will cause a problem because the overriding fact is that the pump can't move it on. Other than that addition I stand by my explanation.
I will attempt to correct misconceptions about "vapor lock". If liquid fuel is getting to the pump and it is capable of pumping the liquid, then "vapor lock" cannot occur. Vapor lock only occurs when there is "vapor" in the suction line from the tank. The pump cannot pump vapor! Therefore, it...
My explanation didn't come out quite right. It is not necessary to have a 300 to be a member of The Chrysler 300 Club Int. but only 300's can be discussed on the list server. Hope that is more clear.
I have been a member of the 300 club for about 30 years. Great group of people with a vast amount of knowledge and willing to help. All are welcome to be members but only 300's are allowed and spoken of.
The translucent portion of those wheels was crystal clear when they were new so you could see the chromed metal ring inside. Some had gold metal flake imbedded in the clear portion. They are awesome when done properly.
You can and should use denatured alcohol to flush the brake system. Repeatedly fill the master and bleed one wheel at a time using the time tested method. I would use at least 1/2 gallon.
If you have Radial tires and the sensation is a wobble rather the a vibration, then a belt of one or more of the tires has come loose and is starting to come off. As the condition worsens it will be evident at all speeds. If the wobble is at the rear, lift both rear wheels off the ground, with...
Broken Torsion Bars are great for chopping holes through ice for fishing.
Torsion bars twist, not bend. Any longitudinal bend is better known as a break. It was not straight from manufacture. Of no consequence.
Sorry guys. I am with the ban on the noise. I do live in the country on a nicely paved road. I get to listen to bikes and all loud exhaust coming and going for miles particularly on weekends. Those people are traveling to resorts 30 to 100 miles beyond where I live.
For those that live in the...
Those pieces are not really spacers, they are intended to block off the Heat Riser ports in the heads. The reproduction pieces are made long to be hacksaw trimmed to fit your manifolds. It is possible that those ports may become too hot for plastic block off plates. Long rams had exhaust heat...
I annually drive one of my letter cars, E, F, and G to and from Florida each year. 1800 miles one way. I have been doing that for 12 years. Radial tires on all of them. No problems.
Rock Auto #217 is the insulator for the blade and slot style of steering shaft used until about 1964 and before. A copper strip is also needed to complete the ground path for the horn. No horn function with out that.
I use conveyor belt material. It can be drilled, punched, and cut with a hacksaw, bandsaw, or reciprocating saw. I also use it for exhaust hangers, mudflaps, and any place a strong, flexible, sound insulating, connection is needed.
I have used R414 as a direct replacement for R12 for many years. No change in oil type or the seal material. Doesn't need barrier hoses either. Much cheaper than R12.
R134 is a smaller molecular size so it will leak through non barrier hoses.
I have tried HOTSHOT also but not long enough for a...
My reference was to only letter and Hurst cars. I doubt that any group knows more about them than the letter clubs. Many differences from the remainder of the C-bodies. And parts sources? Do you know who has Heat riser thermostats, choke thermostats, rebuild kits for vacuum operated windshield...
