Apparently there are no good parts available, so I'll lower my expectations and settle for one that is rebuildable and has a horn ring that can be replated.

I'm looking for the square style steering wheel for a '63 or '64 Chrysler. Minor cracking is okay, but no broken parts please. I do not need a center cap, but must have a decent horn ring.

Years ago, when I re-colored some vinyl upholstery, the SEM kit I used had a conditioner that softened the material and served as a bonding agent for the paint. You might check with SEM to see if it's still available and if it is, is the softening temporary or long term.
