    new door locks

WD-40 is, in my opinion, a nearly useless product. I did find it useful in cleaning #6 fuel oil spills and when sprayed on a dusting rag, it will pick up dust quite nicely. If you ever have a product to market, you would be well advised to research how WD-40 was marketed. After all if they could...

    Sway bar link bushings

As I said, I should have made notes! I think the K7061 kit included the rubbers for the frame brackets and the "washers" too. Lindsay

    Sway bar link bushings

I believe 7064 goes around the strut rod. I hope this is correct. I did this long ago and all I have is the box flaps with the numbers and my note that it is for the sway bar. My note says "Link Kit" on 7061. I think that is the link between the sway bar and the frame bracket. I should have made...

    Sway bar link bushings

I did some digging, and found the Moog part numbers for the bushings I used on my sway bar. I found the numbers on the web and got my parts man to "run" them. When he contacted the Canadian headquarters for Moog, they found the bushings in Tennisse (I think). My guy ordered them in on his...

    Sway bar link bushings

If you drill out the spot welds, you can re-assemble with bolts. It worked well for me. Lindsay

    Dimmer switch for '69

In British literature lheadlights are "dipped" not "dimmed". Thier cars are equipped with "Left dip" lights for use in England, and "right dip" for export. British motor cycles had "vertical dip" lights. Just some trivia from experience with Austins and Triumph bikes. Lindsay

    Painting Stainleess

I cleaned with lacquer thinner and Q-tips. Painted with Testor's model paint. I flowed the paint in with a small artist's brush. That was two (?) years ago and no problems yet. My letters are chromed pot metal. If yours are stainless, that may cause different concerns. Hope this helps. Lindsay

    Mud in Stub Frame

Thanks for the replies. The welding shouldn't be difficult, I've patched frames before and weled brackets on this frame. I just thought someone might have a better idea or see a pitfall I have not forseen. I will proceed. Thanks again! Lindsay

    Mud in Stub Frame

The stub frame on my '66 Fury is in good, solid condition. Inspection with an inspection camera, however, revealed quite an accumulation of mud at the rear end of both side rails. The mud is dry as powder, but I would like to remove it. Problem is that there is no access for a vacuum and no...
