Pictures of my air conditioner bolt problem

Those instructions are for removing the compressor to replace it. When replacing the compressor it doesn't come with brackets so you reuse the old ones. This job calls for moving the compressor out of the way to remove timing chain. You take, the bracket with it. Follow the brackets to the...

Pictures of my air conditioner bolt problem

There is a bolt under your coil. It goes in from top. In front of the intake manifold. There should be 2 brackets from the compressor going back to the intake. Possibly not enough room for an electric impact in the car, depends on how big the tool is. Get your neighbor over there for some...

Pictures of my air conditioner bolt problem

The 5/8 nut on the back is to bolt the compressor to the bracket. You won't get anywhere there with the front clutch and pulley still on. And you don't want to take any of that apart. You need to unbolt the A/C bracket from the engine. So look for bolts through the bracket to the water pump...

Lower the temp for next summer.

I’m fully aware of this. BUT, he doesn’t like the coolant going in the bottle. Also something you failed to mention. The air space is good for the radiator. You see liquid does not compress, air does. So when it gets hot this is hard on the radiator to have no airspace inside. More...

Lower the temp for next summer.

Why is the radiator filled to the top? That is too full, there should be air inside. The liquid should cover all the cores when cold, but not by much. a lean fuel mixture will make it run hot. Since the radiator is new. What is the statue of the engine? Do you know if the block is clean or...

    318 coolant drain plugs

Pipe threads, use anti seize and don’t make them too tight. It is nice to remove them later to drain and flush the block as needed. same size as a BB mopar also.

Best high flow thermostat for a 1970 440?

Black smoke is bad, needs more heat as you know. Where are you pointing the temp gun to show the 185? Should use the WP housing thermostat area.

Best high flow thermostat for a 1970 440?

Sounds like the T stat is working properly. Cover part of the radiator with cardboard in cooler weather so it will run a bit warmer. Works at my house.
