What is a Sport Fury III, or a Sports Fury?

I see folks posting these car models, show me an emblem that says Sports Fury or a car with Sport Fury III on it anyplace. So then the last photos comes up, looks just as hoakey as the add on side trim.

    Engine ground question

Guys, don’t scrape off any paint! this is just plain bullshit advice. The grounding takes place on the bolt threads and the bolt head. The factory never scraped off any paint and they have made millions of cars that made it through warranty with no issues. How many factory original cars you...

    69 fury 318 oil filter

What you have in the photo is just right, move on to enjoying the car! When new that silver paint would be painted engine color and you wouldn’t notice it as much.

    1972 Chrysler Town & Country

The washer bottle is in the wrong place for working on the car/engine. No wonder they are usually broken. It is easy to remove. So mine doesn’t go back on unless it’s a show or event.

Removal of steering column shift linkage

1970 only Chrysler floor shift. When you put the console shifter in park it rotates that collar on the column. It makes it so you can turn the key back all the way to remove the key. If you remove this linkage save every piece, bolt and clip and sell it to someone restoring their car, You...

    Spare tire

A side story to consider. In talking with a current salvage yard owner of 50’s and 60’s cars he says that it is common for radial tires to separate belts and explode while the car is sitting in the yard. Seldom happens with bias belted tires. I thought it was interesting. doesn’t mean I want...

Source for pump, hoses and all else necessary for sluggish top on 1970 Chrysler 300.

Anyone familiar with ohms law? Specifically when voltage goes down amperage goes up. So operating these things with engine off this is hard on every electrical switch, motor, connection, etc. start the car and run at 1100 RPM then run the convertible top and power windows. yes lube the top...

    Klunk when shifting

Ok so you can physically see the yoke is moving. And that’s ok to drive on at your place?

    Klunk when shifting

If the crush sleeve was loose you would be having all sorts of problems. The yoke would be loose and flopping around. Very unlikely.

    Klunk when shifting

If it adjusted too “strong“ it can klunk on light throttle up shifts. A shift kit can do the same thing by having the internal pressures too high. It won’t matter when you are on the pedal harder, but will do this and light throttle.

    Speed control linkage

The cable should have a round end and it connects to that floating piece on the carb. I’m not familiar with that slot in the cable end.

    POWER STEER QUESTION TIME .

The factory was able to do this with one hose and no extra fittings. Try using new hose, it bends easily. An old hose is rigid and doesn’t want to bend easily. I don’t have a 1966 to look at. I’ve owned several and it didn’t look like any trick. My photo is a 1962, the steering box is...
