    Why I drive old cars.

I can drive the E body Barracudas and roll the windows down on a nice day. The wind doesn't blow havoc in the car, and it is comfortable. If you roll the windows down on a new vehicle the wind buffeting blows your eardrums out. When I drive my new cars, you have to leave the windows up or just...

    Happy 318 day!

This is the 318 in the 72 Barracuda.

    Radio "delete"

Aftermarket radios were available in the sixties. There were actually quite a few.

    Radio "delete"

There were people who would not order a factory radio because they would have an aftermarket one installed. The same goes for the dog dish hub caps that are popular now. People would get the cheapest rims available because they would end up putting Keystones or Cragars, etc. on.

    Radio "delete"

I know that on 1957-58 Plymouths the pushbuttons were in a "pod" on the left side of the dash. If you got the standard 3 speed transmission, then there would be no pod so a plate or cover would not be needed. Maybe calling them a pushbutton delete plate would make sense.

What's the funniest mod you've seen in a while???

I think a lot of alcohol was consumed while making some of those modifications.

    Let's see your Mopars

My 57 Plymouth and two Barracudas. The blue Barracuda I ordered and purchased new. The gray one is finished mechanically but body wise is still under construction. The 57 I have since 1964.

Actually, it is nice to sit in and drive.

    Why I drive old cars.

My brother's 1957 MGA has the battery behind the rear seat, so does my friend's 1969 Corvette.

    Why I drive old cars.

I love the old cars. My 57 Plymouth has been mine since 1964. The 1972 Barracuda I ordered new is still in my garage. I also own a 2011 Challenger and a 2021 Jeep Renegade. The older cars have more character than most new cars and they are simple to repair compared to most new vehicles. That...

    Shipping across the USA

I shipped a vehicle on an open trailer in 2018 from New Mexico to Long Island, New York. It was just under $1200 dollars. Considering inflation and the time difference your price sounds reasonable to me.

    Kidney Stone

1st post here and 1st time showing interest for a Ratty 68 fury,

It's hard to tell what is dirt and what is rust. It may be in better shape than it looks.

1st post here and 1st time showing interest for a Ratty 68 fury,

It should be the same thickness steel. Maybe you will get a little luck on your side and the frame will be solid.

curse you RAM truck dealers and your nitrogen air

I worked at a Lexus dealer as a "sales consultant" for the last 12 years before I retired from that business ( for most of my life I was an illustrator ). The dealer I worked in had some cars with a bunch of dealer installed items but they put a window sticker showing what was added. They would...

Best Way to Polish Acrylic Headlamps?

I did the lights on my friends Toyota and used my buffing wheel and fine compound. They came out great and that was about 3 months ago. If you want them perfect then buy new ones but buffing them worked and you can see at night again. I did use a little plastic polish to finish them off.

    Some of My Mopar Art

As a retired illustrator I think your drawings look good. The more you draw the better you will become. Try using colored pencils. Here are two shirts my nephews company printed for me from some drawings I did.

    1962 Plymouth Valiant

I think a lot of these cars do not have batteries in them. The owners drop one in so they can move them out to take the pictures. I've noticed that too.
