    Tight Budget

Nice. I'm sure you will get it worked out. It's amazing how much bad work is done on some of these cars.

    Tight Budget

I'd keep those wheels hidden somewhere but not on that car. You said it was converted to Ford front and rear suspension. Was it done properly? Why do you want to change it to a different Ford suspension? The body seems nice, why don't you get a parts car for it. With a parts car you can use the...

    Dual quads 318 poly feaseable?

I had the stock dual four barrel set up years ago. I'm pretty sure it came with progressive linkage from the factory.

    Dual quads 318 poly feaseable?

I ran a 318 Poly for a few years. The 57 Furys came with them and they were optional on everything else. The WCFB were small 4 barrels and the engine was not over carbureted. You would want to at least run dual exhaust with that set up. I had an Isky cam and kit, Hedman headers and a Mallory...

I have a 1965 Plymouth Sport Fury indy pace car replica.

I've used Firm Feel in the past and always had a good experience. I'm glad you got it working again. Let's see a picture of the car.

    Hp manifolds or TTI headers

I agree with Big_John. I have had several cars with headers over the years, but they were cars that I took to the track. When I stopped racing my 57, I went to the HP manifolds. I have never had any issues with the factory manifolds.

    Hp manifolds or TTI headers

What are your goals for the car? A nice driver or a show quality restoration? If you are doing a 100% restoration, then headers would be incorrect and the TTI exhaust would be the way to go with the correct diameter pipes. If it is a nice driver, a good shop could bend the pipes for you for a...

    Factory 4 speed shifter help!

I disagree. The Inland shifters are junk. Putting the arm on a hurst body would be good to keep it looking original.

    Factory 4 speed shifter help!

I used to make and sell these a while back. The handle screws on to the shifter arm in place of the ball it came with. The metalflake grips give it a sixties look.

    Factory 4 speed shifter help!

My cousin bought a 1967 383 Barracuda new. It came with the inland shifter. I helped him replace it with a Hurst. It was one of the best mods we did to that car.

    Engine rebuild

We got the sure grip with the 3:55 gears at Mopars at Carlisle.

    Engine rebuild

With the mods made to my sons Barracuda, it runs nice and smooth and trouble free. It will make your car feel a lot more fun to drive.

    Engine rebuild

In my son's 74 Barracuda it has the 318. We put on a 340 intake manifold and an Edelbrock carb. It is a street only car so we left the cast iron exhaust manifolds. The timing chain and sprockets were changed to double roller and a cam and lifters were added too. I do not remember the specs on...

    Interior condensation

Normally do you have any leaks in the car? If you are getting that much moisture in the trunk, I don't think removing the cover is going to fix that. We cover one of our cars during the winter months and it stays nice and dry inside. The cover was designed to let it breath. We have been doing it...

    Horrible hackjob

I think you are doing a great job. I can see no reason why you can't weld on the subframe.

That would make a lot of sense.

    Horrible hackjob

There is a cruise night about 2 miles from where I live. If you look at a good number of the Chevrolets, they have a 350 crate motor in them. I see lots of 327 chevys that are no longer 327s. People think the easiest solution is a small block chevy. When it is a GM product and most things bolt...

GM responds to the 65 Mopars...

You are preaching to the choir. I think we are all Mopar fans here. I became a hard core Mopar fan when my older brother bought a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere. It had the 301 V8 with a 4-barrel, duals and a Torqueflite. I got my 57 in 1964.

    Help No electrical power

'55 Fairlanes are cool cars. Back when I was a kid, my older brother's friend had a pink and white Crown Victoria. I think it had a 272 in it with an automatic. I'm glad you got your problem with your Mopar fixed.
