Logo eagle and trims on bucket seats

I agree with above comments about reusing your top pieces. A place that sells vinyl dies may be able to match the new color if necessary.

Went to start my 65 and I could hear the starter go for a second then nothing.

Everything Big_John said plus recheck all the grounds.

Imperial speedometer - driving car while removed

If you want to get an idea if the rear gears have been changed there is an easy way. Jack up the back of the car so both wheels are off the ground. Be sure to use jack stands. Put the tranny in neutral only after blocking the front wheels so the car doesn't shift. Mark a line on your driveshaft...

    Very nice. Great for cruising.

1969 Imperial I may be pulling the trigger on today

Barracudas are nice cars. I still have the one I ordered new in 1972. Reading all the comments above, I agree that if that car is not his "dream car" then maybe it is not the right one.

Nice looking Imperial. Looks like it hasn't been messed with. Good luck with it.

    Torsion Bars not working

He is correct. The adjusters on 1957 ,1958 Plymouths are towards the back of the bar too. As far as I know, all the full frame cars are like that.

    Torsion Bars not working

Maybe the bars were adjusted really loose. Try cranking them some more. I have never seen this happen and I've had lots of Mopars with torsion bars.

'64 Imperial Convertible - Record price?

Nice car, but I can't believe it will sell for that price.

Tripple "Blackie" Imperial has made it home.

Nice car. Back in 1973 you didn't see a lot of them on the road. I would think it is a pretty rare car.

    EFI to carb 81 Imp

I would think you need a regulator with a return line if you are going to use a carb.

    Imperial Drag car

    Yep, What Big_John said.

    My Eagle is off.

If you draw an imaginary line down from the trunk key cylinder it appears to be lined up with the bumper. Moving the emblem should be no big deal. I would have done it already if it was my car.

    My Eagle is off.

I'd fix it. Something like that doesn't hurt the originality of the car. If I was the original purchaser I would have made the dealer fix it.

1964 Imperial tapered axle and drum replacement

Sorry, What I meant is you cannot put the newer axles in the old tapered housing. You need to get the housing that the axles were from.

1964 Imperial tapered axle and drum replacement

I don't think you can put the tapered axles in the newer housing. I'm pretty sure you need to replace the housing to do this. I put a complete housing in my 57 in the sixties. I ended up using an axle that was a little narrower and just relocated the spring perches.

    Almost fits

If you own the garage why don't you extend the area around the door and move it back.

    Tux has arrived

    Very nice.

Did any 62 Imperials have factory dual quads?

I don't think that was a factory offering on the Imperial. Maybe a dealer installed option.
