From your first post, you state that you have both push and pull fans. Is this correct? I find that puller fans only work best.

    Radiator Core Support

Like John asked, what is hot? 210? 220? What are you using to check the temp? Aftermarket gauge or factory gauge?

    You be the judge.

Did you replace the water pump housing? I remember guy's talking about aftermarket water pump housings that had poorly drilled passages causing restrictions.

    Mystery AC compressor?

I agree with the quality A/C shop, if the system has a charge in it you will want that recovered. If it's empty I would go to R-134A

    Smoke machine leak detection.

Great that you found the leaks, I wouldn't see any reason you couldn't use the smoke machine. Yes I use the one at the shop for EVAP systems, but it can be used for just about anything you can think of like the intake or exhaust

    BEST RADIATOR OPTION

I vote for the recore, but I have a radiator guy I trust and has done a lot of work for the shop for a lot of years. The modern cars just get replacements so we only use him for classics.

Converting to new Freon what does it take?

When we first started doing retrofits we were told the 80% of charge rule, but as time went on they say you can use up to 100% charge level.

Converting to new Freon what does it take?

If you can get it charged with R-12, great. The method Dave outlined is the ultimate for long term R-134A usage. I have converted many systems by doing limited work to the system, evacuate the R-12 if system has any left in it, replace the receiver/drier, the h-block, add pag oil, pull a vacuum...

    440Source water pump housing GUNK!

I remember reading a post a while ago about one of the water pump housings with too small passages and the poster opened them up to match the original iron housing.

Anyone got a favorite electric fan kit for C-body radiators?

This looks like a interesting fan swap.

Anyone got a favorite electric fan kit for C-body radiators?

If your only going to run the electric you need a good shroud so all the air goes through the core.
