    1987 Shelby GLHS rear brakes

Check similar year Daytona (Pacifica and Shelby Z). Rear discs were offered and Shelby usually repurposed existing parts if possible. Bad news is rockauto did not even have listings for rear calipers, although they did show some rebuild kits. Beat up the innernet and see if you can find a local...

    Schrader T.P.M.S. Retrofit kit

The transponders in the wheel have a battery. I've never seen a factory one with a replaceable battery. Factory figures they'll last around 10 years. On average it fails on the owners dime.

Get your Hankook Optimo H724 WW tires while you can!

I drive my car in any weather except snow(because of the salt). I don't go looking for bad weather but have been caught in the some real storms over the years. Prepare for the worst and anything less is easy. Tires must have good wet traction.

How to check a M/C for a residual Check Valve

Real simple to check.. get a spray straw from a can of brake clean and insert it into each port (see pic). If the one going in the drum side inserts as deeply as the disc side the valve is missing. I went thru 3 masters a few years ago to get one with the valve. A missing valve will give you a...

    Master cylinder cap leaking

I had the same issue. Master was always sweating fluid out after a drive. The leaking master was a replacement I put on in the mid 90's. Original never did this. I chalked it up to the Hipo manifolds cooking it after several hours on the freeway. Tried different lids and tightening up the hold...
