    UNBREADED! '71 Monaco Wagon

Have Wyatt check the Dizzy shaft for looseness...radially and vertically. My guess is the rotor is hitting the cap when screwed down tight.

    My Unicorn, eh?

Is this still available? I might be interested in the air in the tires, but only if it's factory.

The cooler lines also flow the lube oil for the trans. Oil returned from the cooler is used to lubricate the trans.

Yup. Hook the two lines together. Great for moving car around in shop while waiting for cooler parts. Would strongly advise AGAINST going out on the road or prolonged idle times.

    My D440 project

Idle engine and apply vacuum to the can. See if misfire is related to the moving of the advance plate. Maybe wires from pickup are going open as plate moves.

    My D440 project

Engine off and remove the cap..suck on can and watch plate move...does in bind, tilt, or hop???

    My D440 project

Advance plate still moves..pickup's air gap could change. Put a dwell meter on it and suck on the can with it idling. ....see what happens. If the ignition goes nuts when the advance can moves the plate there's something screwy going on in there.

    My D440 project

Take a long hard look at the breaker plate as the advance moves it thru it's arc. See if it's tipping and screwing up the dwell angle.

    1971 Polara 2 door Hardtop.

Put something in the back of the speedo head where the cable fits in and see how easy it is to turn. Should be pretty easy, you're only spinning the speedo and a couple little gears for the odo. Look around where the cable attaches, there might be a small hole or felt wick for a few drops of oil...
