    Never ever never never ever turn in cores until the job is complete and road tested for several years. Bite the bullet and eat the core charges till the replacements prove worthwhile. Or, depending on the part, get the core re-manned and have a spare on the shelf. I used to do that with brake...

    ‘68 Polara. First road trip in 31 years.

    I had the same issue on a '67 Fury back in the eighties...replacement windshield was thinner than the original. It rattled around in the gasket over large bumps. I found a thin flowable sealant and stopped about 80% of the water coming in. Piss-ant aftermarket glass. :BangHead:

    If the dwell number is too small the gap is too big...and verse visa....dwell number too big, gap too small.

    Did you look in Section 1 Accessories? Might be something for Heater only systems. I don't have 68 Chrysler book. The ones I have for the lower line cars show the system as being operated by cables, not vacuum.

    New fuel pump, Half a full tank of gas, Won't Crank

    Got asked to diagnose a 72 Pontiac Trans Am that would not start. No spark and no dwell. Did some digging and found the coil was a dead short. Replaced coil, still no spark or dwell reading. Removed Pertronix gizmo, installed points and condensor. Car fired up!! Shorted coil smoked the module.
