Gas, EV, Hydrogen, Diesel comeback....Which way are we going?

Hmmm, let's let the market decide. As mentioned above, horses did not disappear overnight, there were electric cars in the early 20th century. Diesels did not become popular until the second half of 20th century and are still mostly relegated to heavy duty/industrial uses. This whole "we are...

Finally, a Welder in the Family!

Mine is out of school and working. Spending all he gets on to old cars and guns. At least they hold value. It's nice not having to weld anything anymore. He just handles it.

Michigan changes rules for Antique / Historic cars

Every time, all the time. If this is a L.E.O.'s focus they need to have their job revaluated, they are wasting taxpayers money. I'm going to say that this is more the reporter "mailing in a half assed report will no real meaning", just to get the check.

    OK you truckers...

I bought it in 2020, 3 1/2 years ago. It had original 540k now it has 736k. Might have lasted longer if it had been run long distances but then it would be higher miles and everything else worn out also. It really only spun a cam bearing but that makes the head come off. Oil pump is in the pan(I...

    OK you truckers...

I would like to get my old 379 configured something like this Which I had already started lining stuff up, all put on hold while engine gets rebuilt in current W900, such is life.

    OK you truckers...

To be honest I would not buy any new truck, but if I had to, it would only be a W900 or a 389 Pete. All the rest of the junk made looks bad, almost a cabover, without being a cool old cabover. They are all just parts trucks to keep old iron rolling.

    OK you truckers...

I was at a local shop that I use to get wheels polished. They had a 2024 W900 in there adding fenders on the drive axles, a visor/ light package, etc.. They disconnected the batteries and the lights started flashing, how? They looked and looked for another battery. Dealer said it is to protect...

    OK you truckers...

The top picture, wow! No racks to hold wood in place under coils, no choker chain for stand up slit coils. This dip **** is on the roads with your children. Keep the wages low and we will have multiple third world country accidents a day.

    Heavy Metal

Well known F15 with one wing. I believe it was a Israeli owned F15 that suffered a mid air collision. Landed with only one wing. A testament to the F15s badass reputation 104-0

Boy that sure does look like a 35. Wonder if it actually flies. Makes the F 22 even more badass because it is exclusive and not as easily reverse engineered. Hurts the pocketbook, but it's nice to know it's a one off not shared.

    Uncle Tony is not happy!

That's a good looking body. I'll be waiting on totaled out ones to come rolling in the salvage yard. Will make a good looking race car.

Carlisle Chrysler Nationals 2024 Tent Activities

I will add my 2 cents. After hanging with Hawk on last year's power tour I decided to swing by the FBBO tent at Carlisle. Lots of good food, drinks and people. Worth stopping by and talking with others. Tent last year was very close to C body field so no "it's too far" or "it's on the hill". No...

EU’s controversial car laws vs repairing older vehicles

We will see in 2030, when the pen runs out of ink and concessions made because of blah, blah, blah, whatever. Problem is cars haven't gotten any better since the 60s. Making them electric is also not better. Make a better product and people will be waiting in line for them. Look at cell...

111k on a 4.0, only 200k to go till it may need rebuilt. Good score. The thumping in the Concord was probably the tie rod ends, I changed them on my 300 a few times.

It's a must do. I am partial to Navy ships, brings back a lot of youthful memories for me. I can walk into the main space of any conventional steam turbine driven power plant and name at least 90-95% of the equipment, how, and what it does in the loop. Most of that was learned long before I...

    Why I drive old cars.

I had to put front air struts on my wife's Jeep GC. What a pain in the ***. Disconnect the sway bar end link, sure if it was new, so now it has a new sway bar end link. Left the driver's side connected and pried it down since passenger side broke. That air suspension is a dealer wet dream...

NASCAR legend Cale Yarborough dies at 84

Bummer, besides racing I remember him on the Dukes of Hazzard TV show. He and the Allison's fight on first live flag to flag coverage and the King ends up winning. NASCAR owes him and should be on the hunt for another Cale Yarborough and/or Dale Earnhardt. Maybe they would get some fans back...
