IIRC, only 65/66 Fury (front) bumpers interchange. Rear bumpers are 65 Fury only and 66 Fury only.

If you go to Lowes, or most any hardware store, in the specialty fastener drawers, they have small plastic plugs in black or white. I am pretty certain you could find one to plug the dash hole and it would look factory-ish.

Does the bleach affect the plastic structure (brittleness, etc.) ?

Factory 65 does not, but the OP said a hole was cut in his.

If you already have a tank now that goes through the rear bumper, just get a license plate hinge thingie for now and keep looking for the rest of the parts to go with your correct tank. I believe all 65 Fury (except wagons) have the same tank and fuel fill setup so it shouldn't be too difficult...

That drawing is not correct for a 65 Fury. It looks more like a 65 Belvedere/Satellite. Fury has the fuel filler tube on the left side rear as the filler is in the left rear fender. 66 Fury is behind the license plate similar to the 65 Belvedere.

So what did you end up doing to fix the problem?

When I get home, I will take a few pictures but it isn't too difficult if you use a long flat bar or a long relatively thin open end wrench. I levered in the side with the roller. Easier to explain with pictures. I don't recall if I had the hood off when I took mine in/out but it might not...

FYI, 68-70 B-body rear springs are a direct bolt in for these 65's. I have a set of them (Mopar Performance) in my 65 Sport Fury.
