    Tire Pressures

Can you explain your reasoning here?

    Tire Pressures

I run 35 front, 32 rear on my '65 with Hankook Optimo. I was taught by a Michelin man (not that one) that tires blow out due to too low pressure. Over pressure only causes rough ride and bad wear patterns. I was told that a properly inflated tire should gain approximately 10% in pressure cold...

    Torn between two VIP's

I know I've already stated that I like the white one better, but what condition is the white one in? Is it currently drivable and needing basic repairs like bushings, or are you looking at major repairs that will be sending the white car to a complete restoration? I think having a drivable car...

    Torn between two VIP's

You guys know the white one is better.

    Torn between two VIP's

If you have to sell one, I say sell the maroon car. The white just looks better to me. Besides that you have a fairly long history (35 years) with that car and should know it well by now.

Mathilda, Our Lovely 66 Newport, Wantonly DESTROYED by a Gen Xcrement Sociopath!

I'm glad you and your little one are fine. The metal can be fixed or replaced. Will this be your first time dealing with the insurance man? If so, don't let them push you around. It was their client's fault (according to the story above) and it is now their issue. You really painted a picture...

    Vehicle value

I have this on my vehicles. I didn't know anything about it until my agent asked if I wanted it. It's like $10 extra per year for me. I can't remember if that's per vehicle or across the board, but because of sentimental values I intend to keep my cars so it's worth it.

    Absolutely not.

My new old Jet Age 300

Looks like it was some kind of bump-stop. I agree with the others, it doesn't look like a factory piece to me. Possibly an old universal replacement part.

My new old Jet Age 300

If the shocks are functioning properly it should have stabilized from this movement within a bounce or two as bluefury stated above. That movement from intentionally loading and unloading the cars doesn't mean that your springs are shot, but if it did not stabilize within a bounce or two then...

My new old Jet Age 300

Height looks good in the pictures. Most likely the shocks are garbage, and at 50+ years old the rubber bushings are likely starting to fall apart. Just start checking it over and get a plan together.

    Vehicle value

Your car looks to be in an overall good condition. Personally, at $7,700 I think you paid fair market value for the car. For insurance purposes I would claim 10-12K, or a little more. If something does happen, parts and repair for your car will get expensive quickly. On a side note I also have...

    Rock Auto crap parts

Rock Auto is great if you know exactly what you want/need. For an old Chrysler parts are limited, especially good parts.

    Repaired leak in radiator

I'm glad it worked for you but JB Weld should be viewed as a temporary fix . You definitely need to have it soldered/welded/replaced before putting much faith in it. Also, that's a good looking Fury.

    Improvised cowl / cabin filter?

Since you already seem to be doing interior work have you taken the time to simply clean out the cow area? It's very likely this has never been done and you have a bunch of crap in there that will lead to rust issues eventually.

Advice on 66' Plymouth VIP radiator after market

You will likely be looking at the $500-600 range. That might seem expensive, but I feel, as well as Steve and many others here, it is worth it. Also, I suggest you take the opportunity to flush out the cooling system while you're in there.
