Dual Diaphragm booster for 1964 Chrysler (smaller firewall bolt pattern)

FYI, my '66 300 booster was replaced by Booster Steve (Booster Dewey Exchange at the time - BTW, I understand they both retired and the new outfit is in WA state?) with the mid-70s COP car Midland dual 9". He had to shorten the rod on the Midland Ross single that I used for exchange (was the...

    1966 Fury Brake Pedal Assembly

9" Makes a difference! (I could not help it. Cheers and good weekend!) Thanks, All. I feel better upgrading, now, instead of insisting on the period only. The limitation (not insurmountable) is the metric attach for the brake lines. I may look for some brass adapters... ?

FYI B & C Body Bendix disc brake dual diaphragm boosters compared

Anyone get more info/updates? I have a 66-300 and converted 4-drum 2 4-disc and the booster was changed to a dual diaphragm Midland 9" type that does have the shorter rod. It's in need of repair, so I wanted an interim solution to swap out while I get the big balloon fixed. I am willing to...

    1966 Fury Brake Pedal Assembly

On another note: Aren't there other boosters from B-bodies that would mechanically hookup where a C-Body power booster used to? Assuming some rod exchange maybe?

    1966 Fury Brake Pedal Assembly

Thanks for your comments. Would you suggest I keep my 9" dual-diaphragm Midland (that needs some internal check valve I'm told) and send it in, and/or, buy a 10" single-diaphragm that is much easier to get? I could do both, I guess, to keep it on the road. Note: Was a power brake 4-drum...

    Recommendation for brake booster rebuild??

Power Brake Booster Exchange | Providing Parts for Classic Cars (boosterdeweyexchange.com) I used Steve's service with no issues. He was very helpful with my 4-disc conversion! And his assistant, Audrey, is nice to talk to.

    Low, Touchy Brake Pedal

:) Personally, I would bench bleed your MC cylinder before bleeding your system. Rear Right/Rear Left//Front Right/Front Left. On my MC (Disc with larger reservoir), I can self-bleed into can/bottle with only 6 full pumps before I need to re-fill the reservoir. You will see how many it takes...

    Brake booster

Plugging for Steve over at Power Brake Booster Exchange | Providing Parts for Classic Cars (boosterdeweyexchange.com) I used Steve's service with no issues. On the contrary, he was very helpful with my 4-disc conversion! That looks like a single diaphragm Midland? I have the dual one that...

    Leaf Springs

'66 Fury I is right. If you go for used, good parts, I bought refurbishing parts from Mike at Eaton Springs. U want 7 leafs if going for HD. There are zinc inserts between each, 6 each side. Chryslers came with the ends with pads made of some cloth/buttons impregnated with something? Mine...

    Strut Rod sleeve and bushings

Did you use or do you have any spacers between the caliper mounting and the spindle? 'Just asking. I imagine you don't know, yet(?) if you will need spacers on the caliper to mounting bracket?

    Strut Rod sleeve and bushings

traintech55 is right about the brake lines for stock. My SSBC kit used KH calipers, also, and they are forward, too. But, the braided lines that came with them were long/flexible enough. My nit is that the angle of the inlet is back toward the spindle arm. I'm almost tempted to use a banjo.

65 Fury disc brake conversion advice

Hello, Kevin, I found I have SSBC aluminum Mustang calipers ('65-'67) with MC A-Body '73-'76 with 1-1/32 bore. I did get the dual diaghram booster from Booster Steve. (I like him!). Background: 4-disc kit (A154-2 and rear A155) installed 2006 on '66-300 with console shift. Midland-Ross...

RamMan never called back. I left at least three messages. Very clear ENGLISH. lol But, no matter, Booster Steve called me back. Actually, it was Audrey, but, he called afterward. Booster Steve is the only call you need to make. I'll update at the end. Thank you for your warning...

Thank you, Men, for listening. You are both right. I have no pride in all this. I just want to get her running and safely. SSBC-USA (now) combined/merged/changed their name a bit and I called them up. It seems I should not have stopped at just their kit, but, combined it with a...
