Honestly this machine could make these shackle plates. I ran one in school. Pretty much a punch press, break and shear all in one. 1/2” plate steel was no problem for it. We had a bunch of dies and what not. These plates are only 1/4” thick. Got my wheels turning now haha

We turned down some bolts to size and threaded them.

Don’t burn me for this but I’m trying this out. So far so good. Little wonky on the thread length. The knurled end wasnt bad.

Yes of course lol. Right now I’m measuring up these studs. Looking at 9/16” shoulder bolts long bolt is about 5” long with a 4.180” shoulder. Small bolt is about 4.500” with a 3.350 shoulder. There are some websites you can get these made. I might just do that. I’ll update but still looking to...

I’d buy this just for the stud side or the studs itself.

Fortunately I work in a rather very large machine shop BUT Unfortunately trying to get “Government” jobs as we call them done here with the eyes is near impossible. I have a question, what’s the difference between 68 and 70 style shackles? They are both offset. I really only need the studs….
