    WANTED 1966 Imperial gas gauge

Have you tried grounding (quickly, like 2 seconds at a time, while observing the gauge, with the key on) the wire that is on the sending unit? You SHOULD see the gauge sweep the rest of the way to full. It may take 3 or 4 tries. Back when I had my shop I would do this on my bench, before...

That's a lot of heat / resistance! Switch with bad contacts will do that, along with a motor that is really dragging. If you bypass the switch does the top function smoothly?

    WANTED Maps-Light Chrysler 65

If the square opening is the same size (Imperial - Chrysler) then you should be able to carefully transfer the guts. I'm not sure if the '65 Chrysler is a single wire though. I don't have that wiring diagram.

    WANTED Electric Window Switch

I still restore almost all MoPar switches. I just quit advertising some of the services on FeeBay, including the '69 and later PW switches. The '69 and later switches for the B and C bodies are being reproduced now. Once that happened requests for those services went from 4-6 complete sets per...

    WANTED 1976 Newyorker Window switch

If it looks burned it is usually just a very thin rubber shield/gasket that is a dust cover for the plastic switch. They are ALWAYS completely shot by now.
