1967 Crown Coupe purchased at estate sale

Mr Frey of Frey Chrysler Plymouth (in the town where I grew up) used to get his wife a new Imperial every year (as a demonstrator), usually a convertible, then would sell it as a new car the next model year. That could explain the late date on the Certicard.

Random 68 in parking lot today

Back in its heyday, I bet this 68 Imperial didn’t go to Home Depot for a sheet of plywood, then to Wendy’s for lunch…unless there was valet parking . lol

    For Mobile Directors only

The light is rarely seen, i wonder if most of them stopped functioning and got thrown out. I can’t imagine so many were just misplaced.

    For Mobile Directors only

I wonder if the photo of the 64 Imperial with the passenger seat turned around was from a design studio study dream car or even a show car.

    junkyard 67 Imperial

I enjoy Steve Magnante, met him at Carlisle. I may be wrong, but at about 6 min 20 sec of the video he mentions the Autronic eye (auto high beam dimmer) can be bypassed with the second high beam switch. In my ‘68, the second floor switch, by the high beam switch is for the AM/FM search tune...

1967 Imperial Was Not a Chrysler

I always enjoy the videos by Adam On YouTube. He is very thorough and knowledgeable. He did a series of interviews with Bob Lutz that I enjoyed. he seems to own quite a few full size cars from the 60s and 70s, all in pristine condition.

    Why?.....just why?

Just weird. The proportions are strange. The Imperial was all about luxury and not an alternative to a Corvette or Thunderbird.
