    I got a Station Wagon!

You're going to like that car. I owned and drove the same 72 from 82 to 85. I liked it. With only 60k miles on the clock and in excellent condition it didn't need any work. It was the right size and weight with the right motor, trans and options. A person would need to live with one to...

Hobby Upholstery shop setup and projects

I had not considered the loss of talent. Just the cost.

Hobby Upholstery shop setup and projects

I'm think seeing others do it will prompt me to move forward. I long for the days of the JC Whitney seat covers.

Hobby Upholstery shop setup and projects

My garages have been 24x28, 24x36, 18x24, 18x40, 30x40, and 12x24. It's nice when the size can be heated and cooled 24/7. Collecting excess stuff wasn't a problem with the 30x40. Climate control was expensive. I myself would not do another 30x40x14. The finished 18x40x10 was a good size. I got a...

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

So true. Horses for courses. I wonder what the throttle response at 70 would be with less than the 3.55. The 66 Dart 170ci/3sp with 3.23 was bad at 70, but it was bad everywhere except 10 to 30 in first gear. Good car it was. Once it was finally spun up to speed. Don't slow down, don't pass...

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

Few cars live at 70, most run around town, and to work and back at 50. So, 3.55 makes since in this 150 hp car.

    70 at 3k. Not a problem.

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

I've had a few 225 engine 3sp and 4sp 1/2-ton vans and 1/2-ton pickups. The problem with the 3sp was gear 2 was always too tall in town, too big a jump from 1 to 2 for the weigh. And too short for merging at 60/70. The 4 speeds were marvelous. Did run them at full throttle most of the time...

You do realize I'm trying to talk you into it here.

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

All the talk about big blocks. I would like the car just fine with 225 and 4 on the floor with a/c under the dash.

Well, if it ain't worth fixin it ain't worth fixin. I concede.

    Ain’t gonna be no rematch!

95 years old Dad says past loss is irrelevant, it's what can be done from where we are with what we got. Short block it from a reman house and sell with "their" warranty. The last reman 225 short block I got three years ago was $1500 with one year warranty. Plus tax and delivery. $1800 total...
