If its not a brake issue your going to have to pull that rear end apart as something is wrong with the diff.... my guess is if its an open gear that the spider gears are binding/broken/wrecked due to a severely worn cross pin or perhaps the pinion bolt has loosened and the pinion gear is sliding...

Is it one of those steering pumps that need the large O-ring? If so bring the O-ring to a JohnDeer outlet and match it up to one! Thats how I found one for my 64 steering pump. After almost 10 years it's just starting to leak again... glad I picked up a spare! lol
