    C Body 4 speed pedals??

I never liked touchy power brakes but you get used to them eventually.

Has to be the most mysterious part of any car...

    C Body 4 speed pedals??

I forget what I paid for my 1st Newport 3 speed, less then $200 probably, from a buddy's back yard, his private stash. I'd been coveting it. I was driving an '64 Valiant Signet, white, red interior, factory four speed, 225 /6 running through dual straight pipes - well ahead of the curve for...

    C Body 4 speed pedals??

He actually did a little time, after I found out where he was hiding through the grapevine and got him arrested, which saved him from a lynch mob of Mopar friends of mine. The courts said I'd get $600 restitution but of course I never saw a dime. I saw him on a test drive one day and stupidly...

    C Body 4 speed pedals??

I've never heard of or seen another one of these, but found 2 in the same town 20 years apart, so they couldn't have been all that rare.

    C Body 4 speed pedals??

C body clutch/brake pedals rare? My st C body was a '63 ish 4 door Newport with 361, 3 speed stick on the floor, no power steering or brakes, just power to the rear wheels. Sadly, it was stolen, crushed, but not before having the engine/trans cut out with a torch, I actually recovered the...

Things go from bad to worse (and just when they were looking up)

All the spark plugs , wires, caps and rotors in the world won't fix lack of compression or a burned exhaust valve in a cylinder. So compression check #1. If it passes a compression check, a simple tune up, plugs, wires if they're junky no name wires, cap and rotor if the parts are defective or...

What’s been going on with the kids Chrysler

Haha, I had the same exact boat in the same color, with the same starting issues. Sounds to me like you have warped front discs/or drums, from heat or tire installer abuse.

70 Sport Fury Heater core removal

Way overthinking. Flush the core as said, use Prestone Super Flush or similar if you feel the need to, follow directions for best results.

Car surges when put in gear

Friends don't let friends use digital tachs ;] My preferred weapon of choice for vintage tachometers on a budget, the old Sun tachs that used to be everywhere. They usually work quite well, forever apparently, fairy simple to mount on old Mopar steering columns to be seen well.

Car surges when put in gear

Idle speed can be set by ear, easy, but I really recommend installing a tach in your car. I won't drive any personal vehicle without one. Fairly easy to wire up, power, ground, light, and to the negative side of the coil through the firewall, a couple hours if you obsessively solder and heat...

Another Very Good Video on Youtube again by "Adam" - 1972 New Yorker

I put many a mile, some extremely dangerous, extremely lucky to be here writing dangerous, really sweet memory laden miles on a '65 Star Chief 4dr with 389, an animal of a car with a ferocious appetite for gas, but not near as bad as the '66 goldie oldie Olds Rocket 88 4dr with an Ultra High...

Good grief. Try some new shocks, or better shocks, they make a shocking difference in ride and handling.

The S/23 Is Now Finally Out Of Paint Prison......

My fave color combo because I've had a few including '66 Sattelite "Butterscotch" w/black interior and '68 Sport Fury same yellow/black combo. And btw, that is one bad@ss Ply Mouth! The power of the 383 was something to behold. Passing, Holy Sh*t, you'd be up to 90 on those skinny bias ply...

Car surges when put in gear

Torqueflites are tough but one surefire way to break a low/reverse band is to jump into reverse at too high idle. Don't do it. Select D to slow the motor down, then go to R. Idle in neutral should be 600-700 rpm, 500 in gear? Clunk is prob any of the above, especially the rear U joint, which...
