I Guess I'm Semi Unretired Now

Of course...after I moved 1,600 miles away! Daytime TV sucks anyway buddy. I'd rather be semi-unretired as well!

Rubber parts out of polyuretan for -69 Imp.

You should have titled this thread "I'm not a rubber man but..." Fantastic work!

Herb's Parts - Need Interior Color Paint

Either something is wrong with their website or my 300 has the Dom Perignon of interior colors.

    Warranty Validation sticker

Someone at Bill Luke Chrysler/Plymouth/Imperial in Phoenix didn't follow the rules. This is in an owners manual I picked up.

    Legendary auto

Shipping for small stuff (door lock knobs, headliner, etc.) was pretty quick for me. Seat covers were a different story. My rear seat vinyl took about 7 months and was delivered the week before I moved out of state. Talk about cutting it close! Material quality is Fantastic though.

    Sway bar link bushings

Similar to what '66 Fury 1 said, I used a cutoff wheel between the layers on mine, then drilled holes to spot weld back together.

    Mold

Some rental companies have them (Sunbelt, herc, etc.) for a pretty decent price. Much better equipment than the Chineseium Amazon crap.

    Mold

In my industry, we stay away from using bleach for cleaning any type of microbial growth. Botanical cleaners (thymol and lemon based) are a great alternative to bleach and should do the trick without any harsh side effects to you or the material.

    Repainting Center Console Cover

Nice work. Look on the bright side, at least its not a 66 Chrysler 300 console.

Abandoned for 40 years: 1968 New Yorker 2 DR

Nice work, Isaiah! Who cares about the black engine compartment. It didn't roll of the assembly line with a sweet metallic red/silver paint job either. It's your car dude! I think we're all as anxious as you to hear this thing run.

    Steering Wheel

You're probably going to have to bite the bullet and send it to Quality Restorations. If it's a transparent wheel, you're looking at around $2k. I plan on sending both of mine in once I'm ready.

Metal coat hanger or bailing wire are your friend when painting things like this. Nice work!

    Restored: 1968 Chrysler Instrument Cluster

Similar shape but Imperial was nice enough to include a temp gauge and oil pressure gauge.

Yessir. Check the ebay link that Gerald send in the referenced post. I ordered that one and it fits perfectly.

    69 Tilt Wheel Restoration/Recast Demand

Quality quoted me in the neighborhood of $2k for my translucent red metal flake wheel that's the same in post #2. When he broke down the cost to me, it makes sense. Stripping, rechrome, polishing, casting, etc. When the time comes, I'll have him do both of my cars. He seems busy enough to...

Abandoned for 40 years: 1968 New Yorker 2 DR

Wow! Keep at it dude! Just be thankful it was sitting in CA for all of those years instead of cruising the salt/slush of the Midwest. I'll take our southwest dried out crusty interiors over patch panels any day. The guys on here have a ton of knowledge and wisdom and we are all more than...

    Trunk Mat Truths. What’s correct?

Here's a pic of the largest pieces left in my 66 300. It's oversized and tucks under the cardboard side panels and up over the axle hump. Definitely "carpet like" texture but the edges are smooth where it tucks in.
